*dies* How did I not know this fic of yours was out there?! I could kick myself. Gods, do I love Yzak, and you really did him justice. You've captured his character perfectly to tell us why he is what he is, and I really liked it. I especially liked the phrase “perfectionist proud bastard." Hehe, sums it up nicely. :)

It kind of hurt me to read this, though. I think something died inside me for poor Yzak and his cruel fate. *bawls* Ah, but that's the mark of a decent writer! You can make the readers feel emotion! And I like your portrayel of Rusty. We don't know much about him, obviously, but you picked traits for him that work very well and help to balance out the rest of the team.

nice build-up. You're telling a story without excessive details, and it moves through smoothly, but not too quickly. With additional thoughts in the middle, you don't even realise how long you've been sitting here reading it.

whoa, nice. very nice. it is so hard to find a story of substance nowadays! everywhere i look, there is romance, romance, and romance. and i'm not the kind interested in action/adventure. so when i saw this, i was greatly intrigued. and for some reason, this really opened my eyes. yes, yzak was never one of my favourite characters, and i never really thought of him more than this hotheaded soldier, but you completely changed my perspective on the silver-headed boy. i can fully say that this one-shot is one for any yzak lover or a person who only thinks of him as a mere secondary character. it is the kind of story that can change any person's feelings towards yzak! ^-^
