I (think) understand your use of the humor genre- however, at the same time this poem portrays far more than satire, because you show this particular character's personality both observed and hidden. This poem flows very well both in storyline and language, it is very well done how you managed to capture the unseen side of this character in both poem and prose form in considerably subtle undertones, while the original character still shows.
All in all, well done.
