Hromiko 2006-10-04 ch 1,	abuseVery nice fic. :) I have noticed no one is married on the show, but I hadn't really processed the wrongness of that for Teyla in particular. I mean the people from Earth wouldn't be coming if they had other responsibilities, they weren't expecting to ever go home, Ronon was on the run for 7 years, plus his planet was destroyed, not likely to leave family for him, but Teyla was living with a sort of tribal people where people are getting killed all the time, here on Earth that's a recipe for gaggles of kids. :) I think it's very believable that she would kind of be in perpetual mourning and decide never to marry again, but it'd be awesome if they'd bring back a significant other for her, someone lost in confusion over the years. Why doesn't she get any love interests come to think of it? I think there's only been Lucius and he hardly counts. :) Also, I love the idea that John has a now grown son out there somewhere, he should totally show up on the Daedelus sometime, a mini-me stubborn troublemaker that everyone can see is just like John but neither of them notice and don't make the connection because of changed names and never being told. :D I liked the looks into how both of them spent their sleepless nights, and the idea that Rodney is really more aware of his team than he ever seems to show. I'm not sure I believe he's actually aware though. :) Has he ever done anything sensitive for anyone on the show? Telling Carson about his unspoken bond with Ronan wasn't exactly convincing. :) Poor John I kind of forget about his 6 months of feeling abandoned and how that might make him act when he first got back to Atlantis. Well this was a nicely written fic, believable backgrounds, good bits of character, all around great. Keep on writing!

I also liked that you had John feel comfortable enough with their friendship to share his regrets yet had Teyla feel comfortable enough to keep her special heartache to herself - that was very well done and perfectly in character for them both. I also loved that you had Rodney "drop in" at the end. It was the perfect way for Teyla to realize that in his own way Rodney is also very caring about his family of friends. Thanks for writing.
