Well, I just finished reading it. I must say, it's a pretty good story. It flowed nicely and the writing was good. I didn't like the way Malik seemed like a total jerk at some chapters (but that's just me… ><) but all in all, I enjoyed reading it through. Thank you for those few hours of fun. =)

this is a review for chapter 10.
it's no hooray at all. (btw I love the story) but you know, I don't want them to get together like that, I think Malik should suffer a bit like ryou did but then 10 times worse, that son of a bitch, asshole, (I don't like him so much) when they were in his appartement (sorry for the bad English) I cried my eyes out, he let that poor and über cute ryou suffer so much. I was really happy when he hit him outside.

after reading something this long (and not reviewing each chapter), I'm not sure what kind of review would be enough.

I knew that this was angst, so I pretty much dug my own grave, but I can't regret reading it. It was a very sad story but it had that perfection I'm starting to associate with your writing. Especially those first person POVs and the little added bits. It just all fit together seamlessly, like a puzzle. And it couldn't be any other way. I just can't help but wish that it had a happy ending (involving Ryou >..< What a downer.

Just out of the top of my head, all I can say is that I didn't like the OCs, but NOT because they were OCs but because they interfered in what could have been a happy ending, the bastards XD And also cause I'm suspicious of strangers =P But I really engaged with Ryou and Malik, I saw both ends of the story clearly and I wasn't siding with anyone in particular because I understood both of them.

Yeah, can't handle angst very well XD can't write it either =P

So I'm off to read a VERY funny fic ^^

Wow...I can't say I'm not disappointed that Ryou dies and never ends up with Malik,but it was too good of a story to hate...so thnx for finishing it..I rlly loved it,but the ending was still upsetting,but it's ok...I still think this is one of my favorite stories...

I can honestly say that I was late for math class because of this notification email I recieved saying this was updated...so I printed it out and carried it with my to my exam review session LOL D:
Uh. Where to start on these two chapters. I liked the lyrics - it made me realize how fitting this fic is for its title. The scene at first between Malik and Ryou was sweet, the whole "LET'S RUN AWAY TOGETHER" thing was quite fluffy. Aw, the house on the beach.../remniscient tear of our RP/ Alas, if things could only be that simple...

XANDER! The whole 'wife' thing was creepy, just a tad, and...slightly amusing. It showed a side of his character that should have been predicted, but it was still so sudden that I was surprised. And yet...to a certain extent, I can sympathize with him. A short extent, that is. The part about the proposal was...phew. Xandie, you're screwed up.

AND GO GAR-BEAR! You little bystander, you!
Dude, the mental image of the first gunshot two feet away from him was probably my favorite part of that chapter, just because Xander made such an evil and perfect bad guy just then. I was like, "COL".
And. And uh...
I...certainlny didn't expect Ryou to be shot... And die from it. The one part in the italics (in chapter 16) about each unspecified character reaction to the shot was interesting. Malik's reaction, or I'm guessing what was his reaction, was sad and heartwarming. He WAS the one who tackled Xander, right? (I thought he shot him like 10 times dead but apparently I was wrong). I kind of wish you switched to his POV during that moment, but eh.

Huh...so, in the end, you decided to kill off Ryou. I can't really say much but wow. For being such a damsel in distress, such a pathetic sap, such a ...NOT MAN in this story, it was a sudden move for him to act on such an impulse, to throw away everything for someone who threw him away so many times before... I guess it was Ryou's moment to prove his strength, but a foolish move to make. Like a sudden tragic hero. =(

Epilogue - how...depressing. You claim it to be a happy ending but really...it...wasnt. D: Not to me, at least. Garrett fucking surprised me. I never thought he'd do something like that. It was like an unconscious avenging of his own rejection- HIS OWN REJECTION OF A MAN HE WENT BACK TO ASDJDKJSADKLJASDK. If he had stayed with kinky!uke?fiance, I think things would have been better...somehow. (And lawl, random thought: it would have been ironic if Erik had been the fiance, xDD). (also I noticed that his new fiance had the attributes of both Malik and Ryou, the brown eyes and blond hair. Coincidence or are we both on the same page here? xD)



I wonder what Malik was doing that whole time between ch 16 and 17...Hm. But omg, I still can't get over how Garrett turned out. WHAT KIND OF ENDING IS THAT?! T__T Two jerky guys, both always wanting soeone different, go back together. They share the same mutual mourning of Ryou, and even the mutual feelings of love for someone dead, someone who ultimately brought them together, ripped them apart, and brought them together again.

All in all - ARGH. What a journey this fic was. :') For both OCs and the two characters. It was fun while it lasted.



...Still can't get over Garrett, though.

Ok, wow.. where to begin.

A chapter like that needs a review. Ouch
I never really expected them to get away happy. It's almost just Ryou's plot in life to be miserable until the end. Even if they had gotten away, Malik may have done it all again.

So sad, but you ended it. You stuck it through. I gotta say I'm impressed. Even though it ends like this, it is still one of my all time favorites.
It's comforting to know that Malik did return to him.
Also that in the end, even Garrett thought he may have loved Ry. I feel for the new fiance' but .. it's seemingly par for the course here. Malik finally ended up with Garrett and really let go of Ryou. Too bad he didn't realize when he was a kid how much he loved him.

It was a happy/sad ending. The last bit from Garret was completely heartbreaking to me.

SH*T, yes, that was angsty. Sorry for swearing. But... you HAD to kill of Ryou, didn't ya? Oh well. CONGRATS ON FINISHING THE STORRY! Applause, applause. I really liked it, and have stuck with you... well... since I found this story.
