tell me aboutt his second quest - have you posted anything of it? the idea sounds VERY intriguing, and i like it - a LOT

That was wonderful, very sweet and well written. Great work!

Chapter one: I had tears forming in my eyes when I was reading about how all the elves had gone. It’s just so sad. Whenever I reread the books I now just skip the appendices because I don’t like reading about how everyone leaves. I prefer my own little happy world where nothing changes.

Chapter two: I always wondered what was going through Legolas’ head when he thought of the idea to bring Gimli to the Undying Lands and I like the job you did with it. I am also please to point out that you forgot a space when mentioning Earendil the Mariner, you have Earendilthe Mariner.

Chapter three: I’m so excited to find out what will happen when they reach Valinor. That’s the one good thing about being behind, I don’t have to wait for updates! =) You mentioned that it was the twins who gave Legolas the matching knives, did you ever write a story for that one? You’ve written so many I can’t recall if you did.

Chapter four: Well I’m glad that Gimli was allowed in, not that I expected him to be rejected, and I like how Gimli was all excited about having a new audience to tell his tales to.

Chapter five: I must admit I was a little disappointed because I wanted to see the twins reunion with Legolas. I would have thought that even if they were out travelling that they would have rushed over to greet their “little brother” as soon as word got to them. Or perhaps they did and your story just didn’t cover that far. Anyway, good job! =)

Ah, this whole story was so beautiful! But now, we are hinted that it might continue with the Fellowship reuniting and going back to possibly "save" Arda. Cool!

I liked the part where Gimli fusses at Legolas for sleeping with his eyes open and being creepy! : ) Of course he only said that to try to drown himself (glad he didn't succeed).

Very happy that they were both allowed to Valinor in this chapter.

The friendship, love, and joy is so touching that I struggle against the emotional tears.

I'm so glad that Legolas is bringing Gimli along!

I adore this story. It's so beautifully written, and so rarely do people portray Gimli in the light of all his virtues. I'm so glad I read it. I don't usually reread fanfiction but I will definitely read this one time and time again.

I know I disappeared for quite awhile. I've been busy reading and catching up on the chapters I missed from your other stories...and I have to say I was estatic when I found another wonderful story to read. I like the idea you're building here...it sounds really interesting. I do hope you decide to write it.
I love seeing this side of Thranduil...from the earlier chapters I was almost sure that he might resent Gimli a little but I'm glad he doesn't. The point he made was good too, nothing can be perfect because if life was perfect there would be no uncertaincy and almost no joy to living because of that. Adding Gimli to Valinor seemed to ensured that unpredictability could occur.
And now I must be off to review for other chapters I missed.

This tale of which you speak, sounds interesting. Also I love the idea of Thranduil stuffing Gimli full of food. I get the image of the man from "The Meaning of Life" who ate just a little too much when you wrote what happened to Gimli. HaHa! Well done. I enjoyed the story!

Galadriel inigmatic as always, that is great ‘I do believe, that he is scampering!’ Its good to scamper now and again. this was a good close to an thoroughally entertaining tale. and i'm glad you see the dificulty with and they lived happily ever afters (though i do hope you haven't left the prequil ether...just why did Galadriel decide to become inigmatic... and oh to see Glorfindel in aquard adoleccsance or the first glimmerings of Elrond's hard won wisedom... you bring new light to tolkien's world with your skill...huzzah!
