What is up? I have to say it's cute and hott! Well *this* was a surprise. Shame on you for not giving us the heads up over at our Yahoo! group that you were posting a new shishi story! ;) It's all cool though, this was certainly a pleasant surprise!

I always enjoy stories dripping with angst, especially when Satoshi’s drowning in it (what can I say, I like to see Satoshi torture himself with his repressed feelings of love for Shigeru) and you certainly succeed in making an emotional connection with the reader. However, the emotional connection isn’t as strong as it could’ve been if you would’ve stretched the story out over the course of a couple of chapters. As a one-shot (which I’m assuming it is the way it ends), the story moves a bit too fast for my tastes. As much as I enjoy reading about Satoshi and Shigeru’s first kiss and all that follows (very good use of description and sensations, by the way!), it would’ve been more satisfying if you had built the story up some more before that point. For example, shortly after Shigeru appears, he and Satoshi give in to their unspoken, inner feelings for each other. It just seems too sudden. The inclusion of dialogue would’ve helped make the scene more natural and believable, especially if the dialogue related to Satoshi’s progress in the new region, since that would tie in with Shigeru’s previous discussions with Satoshi in the actual recent anime episodes. It would’ve been even better if Shigeru would’ve pushed Satoshi too far this time around, resulting in a fight or Satoshi crying (then again, that may be too cliché), but that’s only my opinion.

That’s just some friendly advice though, from one palletshipper to another. You’re a good writer capable of producing sweet and heartwarming pieces of work, so I hope what I said didn’t discourage you. I enjoyed reading your story (which seems to be the first palletshipping story based on Shigeru’s return to the anime - congratulations!) and I’m sure I’ll continue to enjoy your future stories. :)
