I absolutely love this story you've created! I'm only sad I am just now discovering it. Severus Snape and Draco Malfoy are by far my favorite characters, and to see the hardships they face (or in Draco's case, might face) is a nice change from other stories that portray them only in a bad light.

That you included the self-loathing Snape felt seemed very in-character to me.

Ok, so when I opened my e-mail and saw that SnarkyRoxy (on my favorite author's, and author alert list) had written another story, I must admit that I allowed myself a nice little *squee!*

This was truly fabulous. I have to admit that I was disappointed, though. I was hoping you were venturing out on another long story. I've read all of your others, and they are simply fantastic! You always portray Snape (my favorite character by far) in a wholly canon yet mysterious manner. I don't think that he is guilty, either.

I wonder if you might be persuaded to elaborate on this apparent one-shot? It would make an extraordinary prologue to a fabulous Snape fic. I think it would be fabulous if you led this into a Snape/Hermione pairing story (I LOVE SS/HG)! So, what do you say? Any chance? Am I just grasping at straws here?

Excellent story. One only hopes that Albus managed to find a way to let some of the Order know what really happened before Harry gets around to killing Snape. Btu from I've seen in canon, I doubt it, sigh. Dumbledore is so good at using people, and this would not be the first time he sacrificed Snape for a Gryffindor's whim.

How many times _has_ Snape saved Harry's life anyway? Unless Rowling pulls a rabbit out of her hat, it probably won't matter.

This is why I read stories like yours, because Rowling doesn't give a damn about anyone but her Gryffindors either.

Loved it. And I love the way you write Draco. I've never read any other works that get me to believe he might actually turn sides and start doing what Snape has been doing. Great fic. And I think I'm going to go check out the other fic you mentioned...
