xocrazililkelox 2008-01-26 . chapter 13Great story , I really enjoyed it this was very unqiue. |
Lost But Found 2007-07-05 . chapter 13okay, i stand corrected. this is better than pretty damn good. but i can't think of what it would be right now, so i'll figure it out later. even though all the journal entries were kind of strange, and all had to do with dead people and how screwed up her life is, i enjoyed those the most. kind of funky, but hey, that's who i am. and that bit with Alice and Julie in the tree, was hilarious. i love how they interact with each other, all of them, it's comical and wonderful. wonderfully comical. there we go. OOHH!! the story is wonderfully comical! ...even though it's got a chick whose mother died and now is seeing dead people...but i think it kinda fits. any who...really liked the story, and i really liked Jen as a character. and how she meekly interacts with Dallas. i say meekly because there isn't much to show that she does, except we kind of know. like our own psychic abilities. okay, love the story, and can't wait for the Unfound to be updated. i think there were only three chapters when i read it, but i'm pretty sure i alerted it...but i don't remember. guess i'll have to check, because i can't wait to read more of Jen. |
Lost But Found 2007-07-03 . chapter 6i'm reading the Running stories, and i thought i'd mention that they're pretty damn good. i was going to leave a review at the end of this one, but i'm a bit confused about some things. for one, i didn't really get how Jennifer knew what was going to happen, i know she saw Dallas being killed, but i'm not sure how that related to her knowing to get Tommy out, and then saying that she was the one going to die. it's probably just me that's getting confused, but i think it might help some if i figured out what that all meant.
other than that, i'm greatly enjoying this. but i can't picture the gang older, it just doesn't work for me. i picture them in my mind like they were in the book/movie, you know, young. and it's interesting to see how they have changed from when they were young, like Darry becoming different, like how he was cold to Jennifer on the phone. Pony seems pretty much the same, except for that he now has learned to use his head, sort of. and Soda, dear old Soda. he retains his boyish youth and innocence in the way i see him in my mind, but it seems like he's more thoughtful and wary of his actions. but that may be because Jennifer is there, seeing as she was Alice's daughter. we haven't seen Steve, but i think he'll be about the same, if Tommy's actions reflect anything of his father.
and now with Jennifer's blond hair and blue eyes, it's making me think that she's Dally's kid. like in Running In The Dark, how he figured out that angels can have sex, but can they get pregnant too? or maybe it was with a human chick, which in that case she would be able to get pregnant. hm...i'll have to think on that one. i know there's still about half of the story to go, but i had some thoughts that i didn't want to forget, so you'll most likely be getting another review from me at the end.
wanted to say again that i'm really liking the stories, and the next review will be strictly this story. this one had some stuff from Running In The Dark thrown in there. and Artemis Rex hasn't replied to my review of The Unfound yet, and if she does, i'll send it to you if you want. and thanks for replying to me on it, made me all smiley, and helped explain the story even more.

I am not there. 2006-12-01 . chapter 13I love this chapter, especially the journal entries. It gives Jennifer such a unique voice.
I like how she's angry at Dallas, and he realizes that and keeps away.
A great story! I hope to see another from you sometime soon! |
mars on fire 2006-11-30 . chapter 13Good chapter...I imagine her being a perpetual student for awhile and changing majors a ton of times and being a little scattered when it comes to working and education and stuff. I think having dead people all around would push her into the "scattered" category.
I love how all these stories intertwine! |
I am not there. 2006-11-23 . chapter 12Ah, you're killing me with that cliffie. :)
Anyway, I realy like the themes here, with the uncertainty of Jen's friends going to school, her longing for Matt (still love the name) and her just generally moving on with her life as best as she can.
I like that you're showing life doesn't have neatly packaged endings and things aren't always resolved. Life is messy and Jen's is no different! |
Marauder and The Q 2006-11-23 . chapter 12Hideous chapter? From you? Nope, never. I love how you tied the end subtlely with Unfound. (Pony was right--Johnny *can* keep a secret. I thought it was nice that Johnny didn't tell Julie and Alice.)
Funny, sweet, sentimental... I give it an A- Why the minus? you ask. Well, I dunno. It could just be the lack of nourishment to my brain. But A-, it is.
Cheers! |
mars on fire 2006-11-23 . chapter 12I love the way you write Dally. And I'm caught up on your story and Unfound, so I totally get everything now, yay! =) I love how everything is crossing over. I can't believe there's just an epilogue left=( Great job! |
IAmOnlyMe 2006-11-23 . chapter 12Ha, nice tie-in at the end. Poor Dallas...
I liked what you put in about the railroad track and the car--that'd sure creep me out.
And also how you kept Jennifer realistic. She doesn't suddenly want to save the world, she just wants people to leave her alone.
I got a little confused at some places, but I think that's probably just me, so no worries.
Anyway, I'm looking forward to the epilogue.

mars on fire 2006-11-21 . chapter 11Great chapter...I like how you cleared up Jennifer's relation (or not, as it is) to Dally. I think it's a really good explanation of everything, why Alice adopted her, why she kind of looks like Dally. A good way to tie things up if you didn't want her to be Dallas'.
I really liked the scene with Alice and Jennifer...Alice is such a great character, very complex and slightly odd. Great job with the chapter=) |
Marauder and The Q 2006-11-20 . chapter 11Not disappointing at all. I'm actually relieved that Alice and Jen have finally spoken face-to-face, rather than through old, dusty relics. |
I am not there. 2006-11-20 . chapter 11Ha, ha, I can just see Dallas smirking as Jen gets an earful. I loved this chapter, I was so happy that Alice and Jen got to talk; I hope that it'll help Jennifer move on.
I'm working on my chapter and hope to post it either today or tommorrow. |
mars on fire 2006-11-08 . chapter 10Heh, I love the Juggles episode "It's because you suck. You're not funny...you suck." lol.
I love that it's come to light that Alice fell in love with Dally. I think it makes a lot of sense...he was the one person that saw her at her worst, was there for her. I can see her getting very attached to him...in a way Dally was the best and worst thing that happened to her.
Whew, 10 chapters, done lol. Can't wait for more! |
mars on fire 2006-11-08 . chapter 9LOL...Julie's death story was interesting=) I like that Jennifer is seeing things everywhere...and disturbing things too. I love reading about the Guardians lol...I suspect they weren't as crazy until Dally showed up=) |
mars on fire 2006-11-08 . chapter 8I really liked how Alice showed up young, that was very cool. I loved the line about it feeling like forever since you've made human contact one you die. Loving this story, it's totally unique! |
