Cool story, really didn't expect to come up with anything good or of length when I got the impulse to plug Mighty Max into the search. Not much of a fan of Mummies Alive for much the reason you mentioned at the header of a few chapters, the inaccuracy of the Egyptian mythology is painful even if the show is fun in a campy 'turn your brain off for half an hour' kind of way, but you put it to good use in the fic.

It's weird, I looked up Mighty Max when I read the summary, then watched an episode... And I actually somehow remember exactly what Max sounded like! Weird, huh?

Awesome awesome story! I am both happy to finally see the story come together and also sad to see it end. Such an epic story and a great crossover. I'm so excited to see who you are crossing Max with next. I'll be waiting for your next epic adventure!

I'd read up through perhaps all but the last four or five chapters, and now I've finally gotten to see the thing through to its completion. In a word, fantastic. It feels like I just hit 'stop' after a very long, very satisfying adventure movie. I was glad to see Heka get a few choice barbs in - Virgil and Scarab WOULD have a giant cockfight (pun kind of intended, since Virgil is, in all respects, ... well, you get it). We don't see Skullmaster much, but since he's still trapped in the underworld (er, trapped again, that is), that's to be expected.

So yeah, that about wraps it up. Am eager for your next project, and a little smug, since I already know what it is. :D

You had me worried when I first read the summary. Mighty Max and Mummies Alive were always two of my favorite cartoons, so when I saw this was a cross over, I thought, "This will be very good or very bad." But I've really enjoyed this so far! You kept both separately truly to themselves, while making the blend believable. Good details and depth, I'm looking forward to reading more.

I've been enjoying this adventure so much that I wish that I still had episodes of the Mighty Max and The Mummies.

well...that really sucked. I mean, I know that it's all a lie, but dude! What a crappy decision to have to make. And will they all have to make that decision once they complete their tasks? Have they already had to make that decision? Ugh...what a gross situation.

But I always love when you update because you don't just update, you UPDATE. Three chapters. I was so happy. I think that It's quite perfect that Ja-Kal ended up with Max for these trials because I think that he can learn a lot from the boy. And I think it's great the Presley ended up with Norman because there is his chance to taste independence. It's so cool for all of them!

Classic! I love how you've written Max. I love how much he and Presley hit it off, and I love the fact that Presley is learning so much from meeting Max and his team. The way the Mummies were arguing over the next course of action vs. the way Max just headed off knowing he'd come up with something, and how Virgil and Norman follow without question...it's just really fun to see the differences between these teams pointed out so plainly.

Hmm...I can't wait to see what Skull Master is up to. Ah, I love this story so much. Thank you, thank you, thank you for being so cool and writing this! XD

This story still amazes me, even though I've read over the drafts you've sent me about fifty million times. I still saw this at the top of your updates page and squirmed a little with delight.

Our ideas about the Mighty One vs. Presley are very much aligned - though I feel Max is definitely one who embraces the hero persona much more quickly and easily than Presley, they grow from meeting one another. Also, you don't downplay Presley's importance or make it obvious that he annoys you, which seems to be an MA! fandom constant. It is nice to see, and it makes the story feel that much more like it could have been an actual collaboration between the two shows.
