Your first author's note had you apologizing about there being no action, adventure, or bad guys in this story. I read on, because quite honestly those stories are often the best. I was hooked within a few paragraphs, and absolutely delighted when I realized what was going to happen. You went above and beyond my expectations when I clicked the link here, and I couldn't be happier to have found this fic. There's so much stuff going on but it's beautifully clear and everything ties in neatly (the jam thing, for one.) More people should write in this style, truly. DFTBA, Random

I just love this story, I read it over and over. This is one of the really sweet love stories that isn't just obnoxiously mushy and plotless. I think one of my favorite chapters is where Snape and Harry interact, honestly the best thing ever. I love a snake Harry story any day, and it's really hard to find one that's written well. You have noooo idea how curious I am about all the ask Salazar questions, lol. I was getting just as frustrated as Draco. Anyway, this story is one of the best on here, and I'm really glad I read it. I mean a Harry Potter Mood Scale with jam? That genius, lol. Your story is perfect!

Gr8 story. Really liked Harry's slytherin and him being more powerful than any old commoner. I al;ways did associate fire with Harry. Nice touch there btw.

Okay, I have to say, this story is THE BEST.
Every single character was IN CHARACTER. The plot was amazing, the portrayals were incredible, and I still can't figure out how you managed to make everyone in this story likable (well, 'cept for Draco's parents and the Dark Lord, but really, you need SOME sort of bad guy...).
Curiously, I've noticed something quite strange. What's with the Gifts? I mean, I loved the idea of them, (plus it's one of the main points of the story! And it's absolutely brilliance for such a unique idea), really, but, well, how were they categorized?
Harry had Fire as a gift and Draco had Healing - which isn't an elemental... so what is it? Are there sub-categories or something? Or generalized terms for what one can do? What other things, other than the obvious elements, would be considered a Gift?
By the way, I loved how you managed to weave the burn scars, mention of the Fire Gift, fire bracelet coincidentally being given... and all that jazz without having me suspect Harry's Gift in the first place. It's amazing. It's brilliant. I love authors that manage to spring things that prove to be so utterly obvious later on, yet are subtle enough for the dim ones (sometimes me, sometimes not...) to never notice until pointed out.
Again, LOVE IT. Totally favourite-ing this.

PS: Will there be a sequel about Harry and Draco's lessons with Dumbledore and Snape and Salazar and on how they will deal with Voldemort? Or is this the end?
PPS: Not that I'm saying you should make one, since this is already magnificent on its own; but I'm curious. Will you?

Dumbledore didn't kill Grindelwald, he only defeated him then sent him to Nurmengard, which was an exercise in irony because that's where Grindelwald put his enemies. Other than that, this story is wonderful. Xp

Like Harry, I was legitimately laughing out loud at Draco's "jam scale"! Even if I stopped reading here (whixch I most certainly will not!) I would favorite this story for that alone. Can't wait to see/read what happens next!

Aww, nice ending! I personally don't like Dumbledore, so I wasn't happy about them working together, but I get why Harry and Draco accepted the offer.

I wasn't expecting to enjoy this fic as much as I did, what with the odd title and your warning about a slow romance. I expected the fic to be filled with immature fighting between the two, as most fics always are, so I was happy to see them be reasonable about things.

Great job! This is definitely one of the few Drarry fics that I actually enjoyed. :)
