You captured the reversal of positions very well. I agree with you Don did seem to get the short end of the stick in that family. Of course, if life had been different Don might not be the strong, tough, FBI agent for Charlie to look up to.

I like this. There have been several stories lately about what would happen if the brothers had been separated and then reunited, but it's hard to find good ones. I would love to see a continuation of this. Beautifully written. Keep up the great work!

Wonderful story. I liked how the whole plot was played out from the Charlie's POV angle.. as the non-special one. It is nice to read a fic with this aspect of Don addressed.

I hope you are busily writing the sequel. Will the brother's meet up? Does Don know that his family are devastated with his loss or does he think that they wouldn't care since they still have the special child? Will Don ever find out that Charlie is very sad.

This is your first Numb3rfic?? Are you sure? You write the characters with such a deft hand, even at such an odd angle (I know that angle well--I'm working on a... er... thing, I guess, with different realities of the characters colliding, and I could really learn from you) and I hope that you are inspired to keep writing for this fandom!! Also, if it comes to you, a continuation would be very cool (*coughhintcough*.) ;)

How sad..but wonderfully written

Interesting viewpoint. I agree with you that it seems that Charlie was the favored son, while Don got to fend for himself. Still loved, just not allocated the same attention. I've read a couple of stories with Charlie kidnapped, but I think this is the first with Don gone, leaving Charlie there to cope. Looking forward to reading more. Thanks for sharing.

Oh, I read this on the list and it was such a sad little AU. Makes me more thankful for the two brothers on the show. Of course I had to add it to my favorite stories list.
