The thing about when one is ready for the lesson the teacher will come works for reading fan fiction too. When one is in the mood for a particular kind of story, the story will appear. This story is a bit over 2 yrs. old, and I've passed it by many times--but this time I was in the mood.Call it desparate, actually--had this story not jumped out at me, I would have had to sit down with an actual book, of which I have many awaiting my obsession with ff7 to die. As always with your stories, this is most excellent. It was fun to trace Tifa's changing and growing over the timeline of this story. And a bit of Cloud, too. Thanks mc

I really enjoyed this story. Kinda sad I didn't get to review every single chapter like the other faithful readers. But really, I loved it. AND I loved your Zack. He is perfect. PERFECT I tell ya. And I have to agree with Aerith, he dies really well. So well I wasted two boxes of tissue while staring at my PSP, bawling like a maniac.
I hope you write more AU in the future, because they are lovely. And I'm also looking forward to your Zack/Aerith story. You don't find such talented authors often >=D

What kind of best friend is that... She's a complete asshole, excuse my 'french', but holy crap. If I was Tifa, I would have flipped out on that chick a long time ago. What the hell is wrong with her! With BOTH of them! Their friendship = epic fail. Tifa's an idiot for sticking with someone that low and 'oblivious'.

Wow. I just recently stumbled into the FF7 fanficdom, and I am really glad I did. I never intended to be glued to the computer screen as long as I have, but I just had to finish this story. You have a really fresh, clean writing style and managed to turn make this into a believable modern-day Cloti fic (yay!), without resorting to cheap character bashing. When Tifa made the comment that all she remembered of her attacker was his green eyes, I kept halfway expecting Sephiroth, excuse me, Seph, to be revealed as him. But I'm really glad that the story ended up being more complex than that. I'm also glad Aerith and Tifa were best friends, and not just bitter rivals that so many people seem to think they are. Great job, and I look forward to reading the rest of your stories.

My eyes started to tear up when I read this chapter because it reminds me alot of my life. I have often been in Tifa's position, being the third wheel and all that. And it's true, other people just don't seem to notice you and not care that you are by alone with them!
