Lunafilia 3/16/11 . chapter 11This is one hell of a puzzle you've come up with. As soon as I manage to put two pieces together and enjoy the progress a third one appears and doesn't seem to fit anywhere. Please update soon! Patience is a virtue, but I seem to lack this particular one :D |
Lunafilia 3/15/11 . chapter 7Vae! This is (along with STTHG) the best thing I've read in a long time! Though it's not my first language, I usually don't need a dictionary when reading something in english, but for STTHG I had to dig up two and for this three.
I like games and reading this is even better than any wordplay or mind game I've ever had the pleasure of indulging myself in. Loved every second of it! Now it really makes me thirsty for a good repartee..
What makes your stories so enjoyable is that you have captured Sands perfectly and handled every character with care, giving each of them their own well crafted personality. Why does this story have to be so addictive! Not that I'm actually complaining. You either have put a remarkable time and effort into creating this complicated plot full of unexpected twists and turns or you are just super talented. Come to think of it, it's most likely an elegant combination of both. As a result, homework is becoming secondary once again for me. I just can't wait to find out what happens next and honestly, I have no idea where you are taking this; I'm just as cofused as Sands, if not more. And that's even more exciting.
So, please, keep it coming, sugar!
As a side note.. obsessed with a rogue CIA agent who has no eyes, is completely out of his ingenious mind and who basically insults every person he meets.. I must be crazy, cause it feels kind of normal to be utterly fascinated by him! |
Fericirea 12/14/10 . chapter 11Every now and then I'll think of Sands and, therefore, of this story. I wish you'd continue! Yours are the best fanfictions I have ever read, period. |
LadyLorena 9/2/10 . chapter 11Yet again, you leave me hanging on edge, wanting to know just what it is that has been handed to our favourite officer. I love your writing, have now for how long? -and I still keep coming back, even if it takes me a while.
One note, in Bad Blood, once Sands gets to Cam's, the following seems to contradict:
"Walking up to the door, Sands knocked and kept knocking until someone answered.
As it turned out, Cam's wife was the one to get the door and he was inside before she even had a chance to express her surprise at his sudden appearance."
So he's inside the house here- or is this an enclosed porch? The following segment is what seems to contradict.
"He could feel the displeasure radiating off her before she said a single word. When she did answer, her tone certainly didn't contradict his feeling. "He's probably in his office. Stay here and I'll get him."
"On your front porch? Really. I remembered you as being a far more gracious host."
Sands didn't bother removing his coat as he pushed himself inside the house."
He's entering the house a second time. Am I missing something here due to my lack of decent sleep for the past few nights, or does he go through the door twice?
In all the catching up I had to do (which was a lot), that is the only thing that I noticed that didn't seem quite right. As always, your characterization is spot on. Sands' encounter with his former professor was a fun read and I hope she reappears. Her assessment of Sands as a teacher formed a mental image that I'm going to be giggling about for the next day or so.
I will, as always, be eagerly awaiting news of your next chapter. I want to know what is in that book!
:D |
 Death-Muncher 7/4/10 . chapter 11This is a super cool story! I hope you keep writing it. :) |
distressed cough drop 2/9/10 . chapter 11So, I finally sat myself down in order to catch up with the last few chapters and immediately had to ask myself why I hadn't done that earlier... Brilliant as ever!
It's always nice to see Sands with someone he can't entirely yank around and intimidate. Each time that happens, you get to see through the cracks in his armour. So I really enjoyed his talk with Dr. Edwards.
And finally we get to meet the elusive Sands sr.!

Pom Rania 12/27/09 . chapter 11Oh, oh, yes! I just love SO much getting the newest chapter of your story. Sands Senior is a priest? Never saw that one coming. It's awesome how you can just casually dump information like that. I've tried, and it's bloody difficult.
Speaking of AWESOME parts, the end of this chapter. Distilled awesome. I can barely wait till the next part.
Have we been told yet what the envelope Sands had sent was? Or is it just that my memory sucks. |
moms5thchild 12/3/09 . chapter 9I can't believe I haven't reviewed this story yet. This is really something I should be ashamed of having neglected.
I loved Sands Through The Hourglass and admit to copying down all the Latin phrases (never took Latin in school and am now fascinated with the language). Your characterization is superb and dialogue could be straight from the movie.
I look forward to reading the rest of this story.

Pom Rania 11/28/09 . chapter 8THANK YOU! I've been waiting for the next chapter since - well, since the chapter before this one, to be exact.
Now for some random theorizing... I think that the body Sands found in chapter four wasn't Ava. I mean, he never saw her *snerk* and all he knows is that the hand was feminine. Roughly half of the world's population is female. I think Ava's still alive and working on manipulating him. |
Pom Rania 8/3/09 . chapter 7I love it. Seriously, it's freaking awesome. I only read fanfic written by people who can actually WRITE - I find out otherwise in the first few paragraphs and quickly stop - but this has to take the cake, in both plot and literary quality. |
LadyLorena 6/17/09 . chapter 7No matter how long it is between updates, I always jump at the chance to read another chapter of your Sands stories. I absolutely love them. Your writing style is gripping and your chapter break format always leaves us hanging, wanting more, yet it concludes just enough to not seem abrupt.
And Sands halucinating is some scary shit ;) . |
x 6/13/09 . chapter 7 im so glad there's an update! keep it coming! |
distressed cough drop 2/26/09 . chapter 6Knock, knock? If you find the time and inspiration, could you please continue? I'm sure you'd make a lot of people very happy :)
cheers |
Cavriola 2/6/09 . chapter 6Wow. It's pretty amazing. The narrative. The Sands. The plot. And what a cliffhanger. |
ringbearers-gaurdian 1/19/09 . chapter 6Ah, as good as always, luv! Course, I didn't get to read chapter five either, so that was a nice touch...sorry it's taken so long... Hoping your doing well, luv! *hugs* |
