Your story is too blunt. People move through emotional responses as if they don't have emotions at all. They shift from responses and loyalties far too quickly and without details about the emotions underneath those shifts, making everything seem unconnected, and illogical and unreasonable. Arguments don't match up. You should be careful of how willing people accept reasons as well as whether or not you have given them a reason for their actions. Look through your chapters again. A revision would do you some good

Wouldn't Snape have learned the truth behind Voldemorts cover after he became a death eater? Why would the ministry ban family members of ministry officials from playing quidditch.

Voldemort would more likely use a spell rather then a branding iron.
