The characters - up to the Nietzschean squadron leader - are very well portrayed, Vexpeg being an arachnoid is... interesting (in a yuck-sort of way, as far as I'm concerned, but interesting) - and I like Bobby being neither too idealistic nor too self-concerned. And the plot is captivating, indeed!
