You did an awesome job describing the setting.

I absolutely love it. I find the plotline interesting and original and I absolutely love your Roy. I find I like the quieter Roy compared to his lovely obnoxious little self a little bit more. And Maes, well, who doesn't love him? I also like AUs a little better than stuff that sticks to the plotline because I find if you read enough of the canon stuff it all starts to look the same and then it becomes dreadfully BORING! Not yours, though. No, mate, I absolutely love it!

i am incredibly impressed by the idea and the execution!! i love the title too! both hughes and roy are written well in such a skilled narrative! i feel any compliments i have to offer cannot compare to the story. i look forward to seeing how it goes!!

It's a great story so far, even with my limited vocabulary. (Had to look up amicable and usurp...*embarrassed*)

The text can get a bit thick and hard to read at times, I often find myself skipping paragraphs that consist solely of descriptions. Theres nothing wrong with this, my only request would be that you break up the longer paragraphs maybe into two. Of course, I'm probably the only one who feels this way.

The letter comment about H was one of my favorite lines!

I'm so glad to have read this great fic on such a gloomy day. (It's been raining all day and we've had a tornado watch all day... The wind is raging outside...my umbrella got blown out at least four times, but the wind fixed it right back with careful positioning.) It's also nice to read something refreshingly nice after such a horrible weekend (I'll tell you about it later on MSN.)

I also like the ending. Not really a cliffhanger, but it does make you wonder what happens next. And it's nice that I don't have to pull my hair out, lol.

Wow. I don't know how long it's been since I've seen a story on this site with such high-quality writing. Usually, AUs that are this far away from the original don't interest me, but this is just THE **! (which is a very good thing, by the way, a phrase picked up from the movie "Serendipity")I can't wait to read more!
