okay, that hurts in all the right way. the angst just -works- for kakashi. as always, lovely characterisation, and the death of minato and rin are especially what got me the most.

Anyway, I love how you were able to capture their emotions. I don't think I could have put Kakashi through all that and have him come out as the character he is in the series today. Great job; I really really enjoyed this story. :D

Can't stop crying

The few funny moments with Gai right before we find out about Rin only made the heartbreak worse

that and since I was still crying from chapter 5, it gave me hiccups.


I think this has to be the saddest fic I have read on FF and I have read literally thousands

::SERIOUS SPOILER if you haven't read "Fated":: (Although if you haven't read that fic by now and you're a Kakashi fan, then you deserve to have your azz kicked.)

It used to be the scene where Sakura sees Kakashi's body in "Fated" by Leafy girl...but At least that fic left the reader with a little hope for the character's future happiness (not much)

But your fic is definitely more of a downer
And I am still having trouble figuring out how that is possible because this was only 6 chapters and Fated was like 30+ of pure angst
I guess YOur angst was of a better quality

It makes me wonder why Kakashi wasn't there more for Naruto
He had to know that Naruto was suffering the same exact way
Yet he thought that Sasuke was more like him?

I know this is written long time ago, but I still want to say how well written it is. I especially like the fact that 3-year old Kakashi acted like a 3-year old in your story. Many other fics have him as a very cool and mature youngster, but I believe he can't ALWAYS be like that. Good to see him reacted like a normal kid under the situations in this chapter.

Wow...This is very powerful writing. Near the end, I could barely see the screen because I was crying so hard. I really liked the interaction between Rin and Kakashi and the father-son moments nearly broke my heart. I enjoyed this story greatly. Thank you for writing it.
