Bread-Making-Viking 6/1/10 . chapter 1Oh, no! I was yelling at my computer by the end, "Aoshi, that's not him! Run away!" XD This seems very interesting. I hope you'll update soon. I love your fics, especially The Mindsifter. Can't remember if I added you to Author Alert or not, so I'm redoing it. I hope to see an alert sometime soon! |
Ida Cippo 4/29/09 . chapter 1It is a pity you left such a beautiful story hanging. I would truly have loved to hear how it was to go on anyway. Especially the way you introduced your story was marvellous. Aoshi was as he should be, and that he was tricted by the puppet is impressive. Certainly a pity. Should you ever wish to continue I would be right there to read and review what so ever chapter you would add! sincerly |
RedWingedAngel002 6/10/08 . chapter 1Woa.. thats not Kenshin. A doll... freaky but awesome none the less Ari chan |
Rheo 1/18/08 . chapter 1 Very creepy and interesting. The idea itself is novel, and the story is excellently written. The mental image of the poor doll makes me winced... and the last part really threw me off. Unless the last part took place before the beginning of the story, it would seem like Kenshin is safe at home... then, who the heck is the doll? I can't wait to read the next chapter. I would love to see how Hiko deals with the doll... would he realize that the doll is not the real Kenshin? I also wonder what the madman has plotted, because as of now the plan seems to have the potential to fall apart quickly... I imagine Aoshi will immediately send words to Tokyo right after he leaves the doll with Hiko... |
Hanyou Hitokiri 6/16/07 . chapter 1Fabulously creepy! I love it! It’s a very interesting concept going here. The ‘doll’ or whatever that thing was that Aoshi found…well, I can’t wait to find out what happens next. Very, very interesting! Good luck and a quick update! |
Suttee 5/7/07 . chapter 1Wow... the first RK horror story I've come across! I'm guessing from the way Aoshi reacts to the doll (that can blink? Creepy...) that he hasn't met Gein yet? I wonder what kind of reception it is going to get... maybe someone is going to steal it and claim to have captured the legendary Hitokiri Battousai (bad idea though as a bunch of upset ninjas and one Hiten master will be after said guy)? But I guess I'm getting too carried away... please write on! Can't wait for the next chapter. |
weepingphoenix101 4/13/07 . chapter 1woah...that was... strange. Who could that injured man be? Very interesting beginning of this tale, I hope it keeps going as good as it has been so far! |
SilverInches 3/1/07 . chapter 1Well, I was just poking around on your site, when I saw this and read it... forgive the infanile behavior but, *poke poke* when are you going to post more? Not that I want to distract you from Mindsifter, I don't, love that story, but this one looks interesting too! :) Kasi. |
kokoronagomu 1/22/07 . chapter 1yes, that was a bit disturbing... thank you, ginny |
Scarred Sword Heart 12/12/06 . chapter 1*shivers* That's gruesome! Don't get me wrong, I like the story a lot. Just the thought of something like that happening to Kenshin is enough to make me wince. How would anyone be able to subdue him though? Well, I know you'll make it logical. Kenshin torture at its finest. |
Naomi 11/28/06 . chapter 1Oy, your stories always distract me from what i am supposed to be doing. Instead of reading about Edgar Allan Poe, I stumbled upon this story or more I could no longer put off reading it. I have to admit it is rather gruesome in some points. You have to cringe when trying to picture the details of the doll... I am not even sure it can be classified as such. I can't help thinking of Frankenstein. Perhpas because I just had to to read the novel along with Poor Things, but the patches of mismatched skin with the silver thread holding it together makes me think of that, especially at the end when Kenshinw as shown to be still at home with his wife albeit troubled. If it is following along the lines of the classic tale, I wonder whose brain the doll has. However, because of the last scene, I am more inclined to think that the dll may somehow be connected to Kenshin. Who knows. Do be sure to update when you can. -Naomi |
harukohaha 10/20/06 . chapter 1Amazing idea. Who is that man Aoshi found? I don't think it's Kenshin. Looking forward to this story a lot. |
skenshingumi 10/16/06 . chapter 1I just read the new Mindsifter chapter and now this. You have a fabulous knack for Kenshin torture. I can only begin to guess where this will lead but anything based on Gein's art is bound to be creepy. Definitely a fitting story for the season. |
Murasahki-chan 10/15/06 . chapter 1Br! Deliciously creepy-feels like a story I'm going to hate to love. I'm dreading the next chapter with great anticipation ;-). |
Warg 10/10/06 . chapter 1Hey, So, I’m reading this for the second(fifth?) time and remember what I’d said about walking into someone’s nightmare.. the feeling holds firm. Its 4am and very quiet.. I’m so glad I’m not easy to scare.. the images in my head are rather vivid though. Now that I’m done saying what I’d never meant to say, here is what I did.. I’ve never read anything of the horror genre that I’d really liked, not that I can remember, which is a very strong point against it.. but this, THIS.. eh, I just don’t know.. Your’s is that amazing combination of light prose, smooth and easy but so sharply revealing that I’ve come to love.. if only mine were a tenth as good I’d be a very happy writer. The ending was a mixture, I really can’t decide if I’d rather be relieved for Kenshin, scared for Hiko and Aoshi(can’t believe I just said that, can you?) or give more thought to Kenshin’s slight discomfort.. seriously, only you.. I don’t know what to add, apart from the little apology for my stupid ramble. I am waiting for the nightmare to continue. .. |
