Sakura Blossoms 2009-06-11 . chapter 1 Oh my God...This reminds me of my outcast older sister and I. I know the relationship that Sasuke and Itachi have. That unconditional love. *cries* Thanks!! |
 strawberry-box 2009-03-02 . chapter 1Wow...this was just...wow
This was really well written, it even made me cry XD |
kashii 2009-02-13 . chapter 1This is the best Sasuke-centric fanfic I've ever read. Your Sasuke is real and tortured and oh, there's just nothing like it out there. Thank you so, so much for sharing this. |
RmfD 2008-12-20 . chapter 1*weeps* Wow. That was just...wow... I can't believe the emotion that you put into that. It really dose ring true for me though, because Sasuke has allways wanted to become like his Aniki. But at the same time, he dosn't want to let him go for the crimes that he commited. Itachi wants him to kill him, wants him to have a reason for living. And Sasuke, no matter how hard he tries, will allways, allways, do that, even if he would rather see him die. Because bonds are the hardest thing to break, beacause both need to seperate from them for them to be forgotten. Ans the way this ended, with sauke wondering if Itachi would catch him, was beautiful. And I think that Itachi will catch him when he falls. He is an older brother, he is a teacher, he is, in the end, what Sasuke longs to be. And that has impacted both of their lives in more ways than can be expressed in any story, but you got damn well close. All in all, thos is one of the VERY best stories that I have ever had the priveledge of having. You write them both very well.
Brava, ragazi, brava. I look foreward to your next story. |
SkywardShadow 2008-12-06 . chapter 1I could simply worship you for this.
Amazing. Just...Jashin; I wish I could come up with better words; I'm just...speechless.
Up there with the best Itachi/Sasuke fics I've read.
Freaking. Awesome. |
PhoenixKeir 2008-12-06 . chapter 1Wow... thats all I can say... your story is probably the best one I have ever read in my life... I found it hard to find a story about Sasuke and Itachi that was very good, but your story passed my expectations and went way beyond... Keep writing, you have a great talent!

Wassermagierin 2008-06-06 . chapter 1Wow...I don't really know what to say. First off, this Fanfiction was absolutely beautiful and amazing.
I really enjoyed how you portrait Sasuke's thoughts and feelings. I always thought that Sasuke still has some part of his eight year old 'I want to be just like Itachi' character, and you expressed that really well.
I can imagine how difficult it is to write Itachi. Together with Sasuke, they're some of the deepest characters and to write and read about them often causes my brain to go into overdrive.
I'm thankful that you decided not to write any romance; it wouldn't have fit into this masterpiece.
I'm not 100% sure I understood the end: Instead of killing Itachi as Itachi wanted, Sasuke chose to kill himself?
I also liked the small parts that Naruto, Sakura and Kakashi played! It was really lovely! |
blisblop 2008-05-13 . chapter 1 Congrats on your wins, belated as they are. This was a very satisfying read. The end was a surprise but made sence.Your use of language was apt and deft. This was a pleasure.Thank you! |
Eleora 2008-03-22 . chapter 1What does one say to a story like this? I wish I could write a review that would leave you feeling the same way I feel after reading this, but that is far beyond my abilities. To say that words cannot convey the depth and feel of this story would be incorrect -- words can convey such fullness. I merely lack to ability to use those words correctly in order to say what I wish I could say.
I love how complete this is. Beginning, end, with nothing missing in between. How Sasuke still did everything to avoid disappointing his brother. How in the end, he robbed Itachi of his peace just as Itachi stole Sasuke's chance for something resembling normalcy and peace. And how, to the end, they were brothers-- and that it was Sasuke who severed the final bond, not Itachi, because if Sasuke had killed Itachi, somehow that tie would not have broken, I think.
Perhaps I read too much into this. |
quotidienne 2008-01-04 . chapter 1Ow. That hurts because you're right, it's Sasuke--there aren't any apologies and it's rife with contradictions and revisions but it's purely Sasuke who's never had anything but Itachi because Itachi took everything else away. And he does it again and again--bleeding Sasuke of his willpower and murdering his teammates and destroying his sense of self until the only way Sasuke can see the story ending (because let's face it, killing Itachi in theory is different, very very different than really killing him and if Sasuke ever becomes strong enough to do so, he'll have to bloody well stop and think about instead of just running after him powerlessly). The only way to deal with this is to kill himself and it makes perfect sense and your prose is gorgeous, stunningly gorgeous. Even the small technical blurs (hanging pronouns and such) don't detract from the story at all--which reflects sheer talent on your part.
This should be (and likely is) one of the cornerstones of the Naruto fandom. Because, seriously? It's brilliant. |
 a pretty little stranger 2007-12-31 . chapter 1Terribly depressing...
But absolutely gorgeous.
Very few fan fictions (especially Naruto ones) can tug at my heartstrings.
Yours, I'm proud to say, did. I'm honored to have read it. |
Lady Mirror 2007-12-13 . chapter 1Oh. My. Goodness. Yes. This is how it should be. Well, not the whole Konoha-burning things, but I love the way you built up to the end. The ending is great. (favorited) |
