I have to say, a similar thing happened to me. My girlfriend was dating a really good friend of mine and they broke up. I didn't know the reason was for me. We tried to keep it a secret but one day, a few weeks after we had confessed that we liked each other, and begun a relationship, he leant close to me and whispered; "i know" and he had this look on his face. Half heartbroken, half happy. I went ballistic, could barely look into his eyes. I asked him how he knew and he said she had the "soft touch" about me. Your story is quite good, a few mishaps but i was intrigued and mistakes don't make a story bad. There were only a few anyway, good job, man. The best part about it is, i can relate to it.
