I didn't notice when I started this that is wasn't marked "complete". Are you planning on not finishing it since it's been nearly 2 years since an update was posted? It seems that it could actually end with chapter 12 since Bobby is pulling through, though more would always be great. It is so hard to find any LOCI stories that are not B/A ships, let alone *good* ones that are not.

Re the story itself: loved it, as I do most of your stories (haven't yet read them all so has to be "most", lol). It won't get me to watch House though, as your 'Another World' got me obsessed with LOCI through the Torchwood connection. Your characterization of House seems to be spot-on from the little I remember of him, and reminded forcibly of why I loathe him. For which reason I *love* that Alex so thoroughly intimidated him. Mike shouldn't have stopped her from throttling him.

I am so glad that Bobby is finally getting the message and that House is smart enough to know that he needs to stay put to get completely healed. Interesting the juxtaposition of Bobby's injury and House's own handicap - I am sure that House will try and find a way to get Bobby back walking without a cane and caliper - especially after hearing how he came to be injured. Love the interaction between the doctors and the detectives and LOVED Alex's good natured 'beating' to get Bobby to pay attention. You have such a wonderful grasp of these characters and how they approach each obstacle and each other. Thanks for sharing your great work!

It's good to see him finally awake...and amazing that House is still interested in him. Would that be because of his enigmatic personality or because he can relate to his crippling leg injury and the ever-present pain that accompanies it? Could he be wondering how Bobby copes without having developed an addiction to vicodin? Hm...

Another good chapter. I will be interested to see if this ends soon, or if there's another twist coming up. And does Bobby remember the ice bath incident? *shiver*

Thank you for updating. This has been a very intense story and until it is finished I will not relax. You always manage to throw me just when I think I have it figured out or everything will be ok so I can relax. Alex sure knows our boy, confronting him with doing the lecture just to prove House wrong. Either way though, he would have fallen ill. I really like the way you write Mike. You and InfinityStar really have captured the bond between them and write Mike and Bobby like true friends.

You're probably going to have to add a few more days to Bobby's hospital stay the way Alex is slapping him around! Sometimes though, he deserves it. LOL
