Perhaps this is not much of a compliment, coming from me, but I am so very, very envious of your writing ability and perceptiveness, as I'm sure others are as well. It take great deliberations and thoughts when you're writing about characters, so it's amazing that you could captured Reishin's (one of the most difficult ones, in my opinion) and Kouyuu's so splendidly. Kudos to you.

aw! that's so amazingly cute and touching! i especially like how you give kouyuu an amazingly angsty background. v. nice.

my favorite part is where Reishin is unsure of how young boys should act... did he never behave as a young unruly boy? it makes you wonder about reishin himself!

Oh wow. This is beautiful already. Early on you show the types of armour both of them have through their mannerisms (and Reishin's thought process, heh). This, I felt was very important. Both Kouyuu and Reishin are guarded, mysterious people. But they are not shallow beneath that exterior, and you also showed that very, very well. The end to this chapter was perfect.
Continue? I'd love to see how you write the rest of this story.

I know that there's more to this story, when are you posting it up?

It's odd to see Kouyuu subdued. I guess it's because the anime has him full of life and angry at something, except when he's considering his past, or Shuurei and Eigetsu's situation, or politics.

He's lived as long with Reishin as he did without him, so there's bound to be more confusion about to happen, not to mention views to show where this huge anger comes from. Anything that fills up those eyes will probably amuse Reishin greatly, so I'm looking forward to what you write.

Small typo: "Other emotions had come more difficultly to the small boy, and it wasn't rare for the child to wear confusion more frequently than anything else." should read "with more difficulty".

*hypervantilates* So sad! And so ... wah! I feel so bad for Kouyuu! And the question! Sad! *pout* Well, I have two things to blame you for: making me sad, and making wanna watch yet another anime. Great, thanks ;D

Hai, *shakes head* you woo my soul so incredibly. You are my life-force when it comes to Saiunkoku fics. I have a hard time reading the VERY FEW others because I'm always comparing it to your work... and nothing stands up to it in my mind's eye.

You've become my idol of sorts. I've been studying the way you write, the way you include things, the way you describe, the words you use, the terms you imply, and trying to incorporate it into my own writing. Because after finding such brilliance, I feel compeled to write something in return, reverently. Possibly that will come later.

But again, another chapter that has captured my interest and straggled it with pure wonderfulness. I have to admit the anxiety in me is building quite a bit from this. This chapter here had my skin crawling the way you described Reishin's fixation with Kouyuu... It was VERY well done. Everything was very well done. You are one of the greatest authors ever.

*nods* Just as I suspected when I saw the author of this story- Brilliance. Another wonderfully clever-written piece. So enthralling.

I can say with ease this is quite, QUITE the wonderful workings of a good story here. A fantastic story. I personally psychology and enjoy it when people use some of those circumstances in fics such as this. Makes it seem more... realistic maybe? Maybe lets us connect with the characters a little better.

Anyway, I SO look forward to tackling this eight chaptered, 15,0 word+ beast, absolutely. It's pure fantastic-ness. ^_^
