I remember reading this story a long time ago. It was at the beginning of my fling with the M*A*S*H fandom when I wasn't particularly knowledgable in MASH canon or particularly attached to the characters. It was also before I read and wrote slash. Now that I have revisited this piece with a much more appreciative background I thought I'd let you know that I really enjoyed it. Hawkeye's voice is strong and in character, and the references back to MASH in relation to ER were apropos and heart-breaking. You also wrote the relationship between Hawkeye and Trapper perfectly. Bravo!
