A Midsummer 5/6/13 . chapter 1
It did confused me how quickly Sai turned back on his orders, on his Danzou-sama's commands so quickly without much pause. It really is ironic that he knew the blond jinchuuriki best despite knowing him the least. Because he understood, like Gaara. He knew painfully well.

It's amazing how much you can do with so few words.

What's going on? Sai turned? Huh? Agh! I need to catch up on the manga or anime... RRRgh. Can't do much about it since I never would. :) Good story though. I'm sorry, I accidentally posted a no-review Decided to make up for that. Good Sai story :)

Sai, Naruto and Sasuke. How fitting it would revolve those three.
BiblioMatsuri 11/15/12 . chapter 1
Character exploration, motivations, and a running theme of rebirth. Well done.

Very nicely written. My only problem is with the narration. You start out from all of the sensei's POV, which is great, and then Sasuke's, which was great too, but I felt the Sai POV, while the most important and the most poignant out of all of them, didn't transistion nearly as smoothly. That'd be the only thing I'd change...Good job otherwise, especially with your explanation of that one quote of Naruto's. I really think you did a wonderful job with that. :)
Shiken-chii 5/1/12 . chapter 1
This is just... very well written and the way you had stated all these facts made each sentences radiate warmth and emotions.

This one really helped me to understand all the character connections going on in the anime itself and my most favorite parts was Kakashi's, Jiraiya's, and Sai's. And your reflection on Naruto's motives are just... awesome. It seems to me like an eye opener after having the whole Naruto plot becoming dishieveled in my perspective because of all the filler episodes...

And how all this connections conneced to Sai is just... really ironic and shocking. I honestly have not conteplated before over that... but still... that was really touching for me.

Thank you for writing this story and helping me to understand the anime/manga more! ワーイヽ(゚゚ヽ 三 ノ゚゚)ノワーイ

More that Naruto and Sasuke's troubles, Sai's are the ones that make me hurt. :(

I've always regarded Sai as walking the alternate path that Sasuke could have taken -valuing Naruto's friendship. But after reading your piece, I feel convinced that their positions could be aligned: Protect the one who granted him life, like Sasuke has done for Naruto and how Naruto has done for Sai. Things just got complex and exciting in my head, thanks for inspiring.

I actually just finished reading For He Who Grants Me Life on your LJ, but seeing as I don't have an LJ account - I'm revewing it here. Honestly, I just couldn't move on to another fanfiction without expressing my thoughts to you. So here it goes. I was pleasantly surprised at the depth of emotions in every sentences throughout the whole story. You, who clearly have deep understanding for the characters, assisted us in acknowledging and understanding what you already saw and knew. I loved how Jiraiya and Kakashi - despite who they are and how they have been through the same problem in wanting/giving acknowledgement from/to the people important to them - were wrong in intrepreting Naruto. Or perhaps, not being able to fully see just how deep and strong Naruto's feelings went.

Basically, everything you said, especially the logic that is Gaara's and Sai's understanding on Naruto's sheer unwillingness in giving up someone who accepted him and his existence, and most importantly, the person who granted him life - he'd rather be a fool, he'd said - it's just amazingly potrayed. I wanted to be sad, truly, because Naruto is still trying so hard, even until now, no matter how he was pushed away again and again, he never stops trying. But at the same time, his determination demanded me to stop belittling his effort, so all I could do is respect him and continue to watch him in awe. If someone like him doesn't get to have things his way in the end, there's truly no more hope in this world. That's all I've got to say, lol.

Again, great job. Two thumbs up for you darling.
