I actually didn't even notice when you switched tenses...I had to go back and look for it. It doesn't detract from the narrative flow at all; in fact it fits in rather seamlessly. Among my favorite parts are the way you rationalize Lindsay's thoughts - "I care about you so much, that if I tell you my secret, you wouldn’t look at me the same way ever again. If I told you, I would lose you – and I can’t ever bear to do that" - and the "marry me" segment, and of course the graveyard scene was oh so poignant. |
