Just a quick note...how did Diana and Patrick's kids get older than Shirley's twins. If I remember correctly, shirly and cecily were only married a year when they found out they were pregnant, and it was another 7 months till they were born. Diana and Patrick weren't even married then, let alone have a child that would be 8 years older than the twins. Might want to revise the timeline.

I must say that this could pass as one of L.M Montgomery's original works! I loved every chapter of it, from the deaths, births, cousins, adoptions, and twins! It was very hard for me to picture Bruce Meredith as an adult however, he's always been the little boy at the manse to me!

I have been a silent reader of your wonderful work for some time, but as this story has come to an end, I thought it was high time I voice how much I have enjoyed it! You have a great talent for writing, and I love how you bring the characters to life. I am eagerly anticipating a sequel, and very much hope that one is in the works! :)

i *love* matty's logic. it makes me laugh everytime. "we still don't like it, but we won't feel sorry for ourselves." i can just imagine a stoic fourteen-year-old saying so with utmost wisdom. :)

i'm actually excited for meggie and matty to be near rilla and jane! but a minor detail: i think toronto is actually further away from PEI than boston. we've driven from toronto to new brunswick on summer road trips (which is where the confederation bridge joins up to PEI) and that was around a 23 hour non-stop drive; and from new brunswick it was another 1.5 hours to PEI i think. we've also driven from boston to maine for a day trip (i.e. went and returned on the same day), and maine isn't too far from nova scotia and PEI. so, while i (and i'm sure shirley would) appreciate that you're keeping matty and meggie in canada, i just wanted to point out that toronto isn't that close! :p

I honestly don't know if this was the best decision for them or not. Their world will be expanded in Toronto. I remember feeling much as they do when I was that age about my own hometown. It was the only place for me. Now, I live close, but wouldn't want to live there. My horizons have been broadened. I'm very curious to see where you take Miss Meggie and Mr. Matty.

That Rachel Irving had better be nice to Shirley and his kids, is all I can say. Can't wait for the next chapter!
