The last line kills me. I didn't care much for the threesome pairing (Kakashi in a relationship is OOC for me), but the ending was so bittersweet. It's like... a ZEUGMA (lit. term). Cleverly done.

I understand and empathize with you on Asuma's death. "Naruto" doesn't really seem like Naruto anymore, and I'm looking back to the good old days before the jump.

Nostalgia gets me every time. Good work.

Oh. That ending. That is probably the most perfect ending I have ever seen. I'm still sad, but I don't think you could've ended it better. What a beautiful story you've written.

I don't know why, but when I read the end, I started to cry. It was just so...painful. Asuma's death struck me pretty hard when I read it; I didn't understand why Kishimoto-sensei did it, or if there was even a reason. All the other deaths in the story were understandable, but Asuma's was just so out of place. I agree with you, about how a Narutoverse without Asuma being weird.

I also have been mourning his death. I was in denial during the previous chapters...kept thinking there was no way they'd kill him even though I knew, deep down, that they would. Kept hoping for a miracle that never came.
