I was looking around for Halloween fic and came across this little gem. Loved it! Rodney, the unwilling storyteller, came up with a whopper and I actually spit my soda from laughing when Carson showed up at the exact right moment. The story is just what I was in the mood for! :)

Too funny! I was there with the kids and John, leaning in, waiting to hear what would happen, though I was more giggling in anticipation then quaking in fear. :) Unfortunately I'm in my office and many people pass by and at the point when everyone threw candy at Carson I couldn't keep the snickers quiet anymore. :D Rather than try to explain fanfic to a fellow grad student I just made a very lame attempt at explaining a campfire and storytelling that she obviously was not seeing the humor in. :) You wonder about anything scaring people who deal with the wraith all the time, but kids will be kids I suppose and anyone can be taken by a surprise. Too funny how Halling came out with a pitchfork! Wonderful bit of Halloween fun. Keep on writing!
