I like the way you portray your characters, particularly Kurama. You've made him more mysterious and playfully sinister... and it makes him even more awesome! I love the witty conversations and the mind games. I don't even mind that your not focusing on romance, which I usually prefer. But I really like this! Bring it on, my friend. ^^

Lol this is cute. First of all, I know he always wear long sleeved clothes. The second is... If you watch or read Yu Yu Hakusho manga, you will find out that in the tournament Kurama's clothes torn off about one of the arm sleeves and his chest. :) That's right. His chest. But I don't find any tattoo. :) So... I just want to say that you have to look at the un-fan series when you make a fic. It'll help to make the fic more logical. :D No, this is not a flame. Don't worry^^ (or at least I don't think it is...)

I'm enjoying this whole series but I had to stop and comment on this one (#11 Two conversations on Immortality: part 2). Just this morning I was thinking to myself I wish someone would do something with the fact that Hiei may be the youngest member of the team and Kurama the oldest and how they are so close. Yeah, he may have clocked some unknown number of decades/centuries but he's still a young adolescent. He covers it well with the whole attitude thing but then you remember that Yukina is his TWIN and it puts his age into perspective. It was great to have my wish answered so quickly.

I love Kurama so much right now. This is far and away my favorite version of how this story goes, probably because of how brilliantly Kurama plays the whole thing and just how scary he can be despite being "severely injured, nearly out of energy, and technically imprisoned." Koenma has no chance.
In addition to the brilliance of the chapter, I just wanted to say how much I love the whole story. It made its way to my favorites shortly after the first time I read it (several times ago, now) and is still one of my favorite Kurama/Hiei stories. For all that you say you are uncomfortable with writing romance, I for one think that you are quite wonderful at it.

I loved it all the way through. My heart broke and mended itself again throughout this wonderful fic. Your characterizations of the two characters are AMAZING. I am in LOVE with them. I can't bear to see them written any other way now, which is probably why it's so hard for me to find a good fic to read. I will totally be raiding your favorite fics after this, by the way.

lol anyway. I found this fic after going through 100+ and more pages of the yu yu hakusho archive here. I'm so glad I did it. I only just finished reading the entire manga since I had never actually finished it before. I only got so far. And after I did, I was itching for some good Kurama and Hiei fics out there. Sadly, there are HARDLY ANY. Good ones, that is. There are so many fics here with OCs that it annoys the shizz out of me. And then I find this. This saved me. I absolutely loved it, and I hope you don't get sick of me saying it over and over again throughout my reviews.

You say that you're not done with this yet at the end of this chapter, but the status is complete? I hope you're not done, but if you are, thank you so much for writing this fantastic piece of work. Favorited it and everything. I love it thank you thank you thank you. Your writing is amazing, and just so...ah. It flows so well. I can't think of how to say it, but it's just GOOD. Okay? GOOD. What what what no noonononono HIEI NO. Not second. No nonoonoono. This made me unbearably sad. NO. At the end..Kurama left him? For someone else...? Or does that red hair belong to someone else? ...lol the manga has hardly any color, so I have no clue. I only watched the anime up the the dark tournament and a TINY bit after that. Finished the manga. But yea. HM. Interesting. SAD, but aw interesting. Great job.

That makes so much sense it's scary. Hiei will stay alive because Kurama's the last and final challenge that he can never defeat because he'll never fight him. Hiei's character was captured so well in this that I'm like, wow. Kurama's so manipulative, again. Ah. Love love love.
