Wow. I am blown away by this piece.

It's not often that I read a piece with vague circumstances and, instead of making me go into "workshop mode" and ask questions about the plot and scrutinize the motivations of the characters, I just sit back and enjoy the story. Congrats. This is the second fan fic I've found that does that. :)

The setting and resignation of the main character (Satoru, quite obviously) are what struck me the most. I, as the reader, know that something bad or tragic must have happened, otherwise, Satoru wouldn't be in such a seedy establishment. And the fact that he took in the details of his environment was great and underscored some of his unease, despite what his outward appearance might suggest.

Obviously, there are questions left unanswered, but I don't necessarily want them answered. I want this piece to remain shrouded in mystery.

Overall, great language, great storytelling... I loved it!

you know, I love your kind of writting, how you describe places and emotions.

A very interesting look at another and less romantic side of a hero... realistic and kind of poignant. The mood and setting of this are so vivid and well-done, I could also see it.

wow, that certainly came from left field.

That was great, really well done and extremely well written. I love the research angle, that was a good bit.

And the way he had the guy look like Eiji, that was pure wickedness. Great work.
