I don't know if you intend to, but you are giving a picture of Emily as someone who is obsessed to the point of being mentally deranged. No woman in her right mind would expect her husband to cut off all ties to his previous life, including his parents, indeed all ties to the outside world, it seems, and focus on her *exclusively*. His mother, who idolises him, would surely have something to say about that! I do not find this a credible picture of a human being, and I do not believe Ross would think he should be willing to go this far. Given his reaction to Rachel's demand that he take all blame for the breakup, it is far more likely that this would push him at least to strong protest, if not to open rage.

Bad Emily. BAD Emily. She is being very selfish ... and Ross is giving in to it too. His devotion to his "marriage" is what almost killed Rachel in the show. No matter what he does someone always gets hurt. In this case, if someone has to hurt ... perhaps it could be Emily, again. She's thinking too much for herself and not enough for Ross.

In the show, Ross points out that he has a son Ben, whom he can hardly be expected to leave; no mention made of him here (or earlier, that I noticed on a quick glimpse through). And Ross is an academic; what does he know about running stores (wouldn't be called that in UK anyway, and Emily's family are not the kind to be owning and running shops, even posh ones, as I should have said in review of ch. 6. Her father will be in the City, or publishing, or something like that). Why hasn't he protested? And Emily says "Of course not", she doesn't want Ross to cut himself off from everyone he knows, but she is offering no specific way to deal with this problem. If this is meant to show Emily being totally insensitive, it's certainly working - but Ross ought to be shown protesting, I feel, particularly since this cannot have been the plan of their life that they made before the wedding.

Seems quite a while since I saw this; I'm glad it's continuing.

I'm glad that Rachel is taking care of Ross. I can't believe that Emily expects Ross to move there without discussing it first. I hope that Ross comes to his senses and dumps Emily before it's too late. UD soon, I love this story.

"When you come to New York, you'll see there is nobody else in my life, except for you". Emily interrupted and said "I'm only coming to New York to take care of you and get you back on your feet. Once you're feeling better, you're coming with me to London, and my father already has a job waiting for you, at one of his stores. Then I can finally begin to fully trust you, again".

And this after Rachel has been doing her best to take care of Ross. Isn't that kick you in the crotch, spit on your neck fantastic for her?

Sensible Joey! I don't, myself, think that such an all-around hoodlum as Big Dog would be working for the Mafia - he would attract too much attention. Odd jobs, maybe.
