 chao-hellsing 2008-10-19 . chapter 1Man this is one disturbing story... |
XyKPfan 2008-08-14 . chapter 1(Still crying...sniff) I know. I'm very emotional. Flowers for Algernon always did make me cry.(Sniff) Very well done! A+! |
 Zirra Nova 2008-06-17 . chapter 1*deep breath*
And wow. This is incredibly...poignant. I like it, but then again...it's unlikable. It's like a feeling you can get that something is completely wrong, but you can't prove what it is. The story, and the writing is great. I'm going to go read your other works now.
This is..very thought provoking. *blink* |
HecatonchiresLM 2007-07-28 . chapter 1Flowers for Algernon always made me tear up at the end. This merged it with KP very well. |

NotTheCrimpMaster 2007-01-30 . chapter 1I love this story. Not exactly horror, but still kind of disturbing. I thought it was a little too short—more recordings of post-Zorpox Ron would have been interesting. Still, I liked it a lot. Flowers For Algernon is probably the most influential thing I've ever read. At the risk of this sounding cheesy, I'll say it completely changed the way I think.
Anyway, great short little fic. |
 Qracer23 2007-01-06 . chapter 1 Dear everyone,
I have an important Public Service Announcement.
As of 1/1/07, I have officially completed my New Year's resolution of '06 to read and review all of G-Go's works.
This may be history in the making! A person with recorded proof that they actually did their resolution! (don't belive me, look at the reviews themselves).
There's no doubt that this resolution will continue, but it can't continue if G-Go doesn't write any more fanfics!
Sincerely, Qracer23 |
 CastaS 2006-12-19 . chapter 1great one, i enjoyed reading it. |

That certainly was the type of creepy-mess-with-your-head-stuff you were going for G-Go. The particular style of writing is probably what makes it so good; it gives the outlines of what happens, and you fill in the rest. Thus is the blinding power of imagination.
Good solid concept with an excellent delivery with the whole "recording/biological report thingy" idea. Its better than anything I could come up with. Though, once the name 'Zorpox' was mentioned it sorta gave away the rest of the stroy (a more obvious form of foreshadowing). At first I thought the experiment was about a placebo sugar-pill test, but it was all about the creepy on this one.
This stroy also demonstrates the dangers of human drug testing and the shortsightedness of test lengths in conjunction with the lack of sufficient long-term side-effects data. Doesn't it seem that there's a pill for everything these days? I'll just stick to tylenol and cough drops.
I rate this a 4 out of 5 for originality in plot and delivery. An above-average story with an "scary story around the campfire" feeling. Nice slip with the whole X4171 number (what does that mean anyway?).
Now, get back to work on Simian Oddysee!
Sincerely, Qracer23 |
Ace Ian Combat 2006-11-03 . chapter 1Err..., this is brilliant! I love that story, but it sorta pales to this! |
TexasDad 2006-10-31 . chapter 1Wow. Talk about things that go bump in the night. Gave me the willies. No good dreams for TexasDad tonight. Good job! |
Jawelik 2006-10-31 . chapter 1Wow, that was... Really well done. Creepy, and in the spirit of Halloween, but emotional at the same time. As always, I love the way you pull off your stories. Well done.

Waffled Flambe 2006-10-31 . chapter 1wow. that *was* pretty scary. i'm still shuddering! And if Flowers for Algernon is half as good as this, i just may have to check it out at the library... |
 Dreammergurl2007 2006-10-31 . chapter 1Gah! Creepy... But GOOD! |
JPMod 2006-10-31 . chapter 1Boy, that was *scary* all right, and quite sad in the end. They wanted to help Ron and only temporary ended up turning him into Zorpox and then his death in the end. All so sad. :_( |
