Maybe I'm just that dense, maybe this story is just that awesome, but after reading this, the fever and its effects finally make sense to me. ^_^ Very insightful and moving.

This has to be my favorite Zuko story. It really feels like him, and could totally fit into canon.

Aw, this is really cute and IC. I think I like Zuko best when he's a dork working in a tea shop, and you do a great job of showing his whole mindset during this time.

The only thing that jarred me a bit was "But that was a coward's choice, he told himself earnestly, forgetting about how frightening it was to be on the edge of that cliff, with no idea of what would be waiting for him when he hit bottom." It pulls the story out of Zuko's thoughts for a moment. Apart from that one thing, though, I really liked this story, and I'm adding it to my favorites ^_^

My only response to this is 'Wow.' You captured Zuko very well and I enjoyed it overall. Good job.

Oh, very nice!! I like how you make it seem like you're talking about two different people--Lee and Zuko. Both were protrayed wonderfully.

And, hooray, hints of Zuko and Jin! I like that pairing, and there aren't enough stories for them out there.

Wonderful vignette! You captured Zuko's frustrations well, mixed as they are with the ways his life as a refugee and peasant vagabond has already changed him. He felt very true to the show.
