I loved the story, and in my head made up my own ending.

"Well," Lily murmured, glancing from the flower to James's blushing but obviously pleased face, "There's something I should do as well."

She got up and kissed him softly on the lips. James was taken by surprise, but once he registered what was happening, he deepened the kiss.

He could have sworn, however, that he heard her murmur "Thank God you're not a girl."

Very nice, very nice. The only thing I would have done is have a better relationship between Lily and James. That way, Lily would be more open to him giving her roses. I liked it a lot, though! The ending was great!

aw. adorable. it's kinda cute; I usualy don't read one-shots (i like suspence and... well violence. and bickering... and possible the throwing of sharp or heavy items and certain charators heads) But this oneshot stuck me as sweet. good on you.
