BlindHal 2008-02-13 . chapter 16Wow. I read this story, all 16 chapters in less than a day because I had to keep reading. It is a very compelling narritive! I love how you have developed Porcia and Brutus, I truly feel their pain and longing. Excellent- Just damn good fiction. I long for the next chapter as Porcia longs for Brutus' return! |
juniatertia 2007-11-24 . chapter 16 The plotting and characterizations are very good in this chapter. There are two anachronisms you may want to get rid of: the word "okay", which is a late 19th-century American expression, and the term "fascist", which is a 20th-century political idea. You may want to have a friend edit for grammar and clarity. But I have really enjoyed the way you have incorporated the history with the characters as originally inspired by HBO's Rome; you have made the characters your own. I look forward to the next chapter. |
thalie noldorian 2007-10-29 . chapter 16 there is no need for much words, this story is awsome.
I would like to see in the future a little bit more of Mark Antony since he is a very interesting character and maybe Octavia, who is absolute the best character besite Porcia.
I like hove you portrated Porcia with all her virtues and faultes. |
Marissa 2007-10-28 . chapter 16 This chapter was excellant!
My favorite part was when Octivia was leaving the city and saying goodbye to Portia. Portia's little speech about how Octivia could never be her...that was just amazing.
I also loved Brutus and Caesar words- that was so powerful, Brutus finally stuck up for himself!
I look forward to your next chapter.

 sadi 2007-10-28 . chapter 16 Hi! A huge chapter!
Your writing is impressive as always. You are so good when it comes to two characters confronting each other.
For example here with Caesar and Brutus , Claudia and Porcia.
There are also priceless words like " Jump, Brutus" from Porcia...So harsh! I think she is unfair towards Brutus on this matter , but it's nice not having an always perfect character.
There is also humor.I love the funny expression of Caesar about the " being noisy " Mark Antony. I am very fond of your Mark Antony by the way.
This story is getting grander every new chapter it's fantastic.
I hope your family issues will be sorted out soon.
Good luck for the following! |
Sophie-Lou 2007-10-26 . chapter 16It's brilliant, you know I love this story. I loved that fight Porcia and Brutus had. I like how you make Porcia totally wrong...you're not afraid to put her in the wrong. Admired how she regretted it later and gave him that snog in front of Caesar and everyone else. I could picture Caesar's face - similar to how he looked at Antony before the triumph when he said "What do you find amusing?" I think.
Worried about her aunt, it sounds as if she might just die of a cough, like TB or something. I know history so I know she's going to die. It's really sad since she seems to be the only one Porcia and her brother love out of the aunts they have.
I LOVED how you had Terentia in there too. Hope to see Vorenus and Pullo next chapter. |
 Anja25 2007-10-26 . chapter 16Hi Robin!
Great part as usual though I was missing Pullo and Vorenus. Hope to see them in the next chapter :)
As much as I adore your Porcia I was totally on Brutus' side in that conflict. She is taking her hatred for Ceasar far over the top. I know he had his faults and his ego was way to big but I still remember that he remained solemn and sad while others were laughing at the play mocking Cato' suicide. I doubt Cato would have done the same.
I hope you will work out your family issues. I'm looking forward the next chapter but take your time! Thank you. |
Jes Freedark 2007-10-25 . chapter 16Another excellent chapter. I look forward to every addition. Keep up the wonderful work. |
darma 2007-09-29 . chapter 1 i didn't read your text but a friend of mine says it's very good so i'll read it soon. |
sadi 2007-09-12 . chapter 15 Again a superb chapter ! I love it. Both the scene with Pullo ( more of him please ) and Porcia ( Brutus a little jealous how sweet..) and the meeting of Porcia and Marc Anthony. I could see James Purefoy while i was reading it , it's so well written.
What will soon be in Caesar's hands? Really curious about it Robyn.
Good luck for the following! |
Anja25 2007-09-10 . chapter 15Wow. It's been so long but it was more than worth it.
You have such a great grasp of the characters- all of them. You see them for what they are. Vorenus is noble and stoical, Pullo both tender and rough, Brutus is adorable and Antony brilliantly vulgar. I also enjoy your subtle irony. Thank you and keep it coming. "hugs" |
Sophie-Lou 2007-09-09 . chapter 15Brilliant work, Robyn. I can't wait to find out what happens next. I'd like to see her talk more with Mark Antony, he was brilliantly vulgar. I liked Porcia's interaction with Pullo who is starting to go a bit distant like he did in the series. I loved the slightly suggestive scene between Brutus and Porcia, made me smile a bit. |
Jes Freedark 2007-07-05 . chapter 14Another wonderful chapter. Thanks for updating. LOVE IT! |
annie 2007-06-26 . chapter 1 A very good beginning. I'm sorry I took so long to get here and begin to read it. It's brilliant work Robyn. |
annie 2007-06-26 . chapter 14 I just adore this story. Please, please, please do go on! |
