You did an awesome job on everything! I could totally picture Miaka from Tasuki's (your)description of her. The only thing that could have added to the atmosphere is if you wrote his thoughts in Tasuki type speak but because this an AU, that doesn't even matter. :)

I'm taking a detour on my way to review ch. 5 of 'The Outsider'; just couldn't resist after I saw this new offering and read the summary for it!

This piece had me captivated from start to finish. Much like the dancer did to her onlooker, you pulled me in from the very first sentence. Your prose was so vivid and skillfully wrought that it seemed like a dance in itself, starting slowly and softly, and building to an exciting and dramatic finale. (To be honest, I was actually hearing Ravel's Bolero playing in my head while I was reading.^^) I could feel my heart pounding right along with Tasuki's...
The ending was extremely satisfying, though I was left with a few questions. Speculating on Miaka's performance and why she was giving it shifted my writer's muse into overdrive... *sighs happily, then regretfully shoos away plot bunnies*
