OMG... I use to read this story so long ago and lately I've taken to rereading it. I love your writing style, but I have to say that this piece made me cry...no sobbing just slow tears ( I don't want Ashk to die. I guess a lot of me hopes for that Disney ending where the mortal becomes immortal and lives out eternity with her loving family. Alas, I don't see that happening. Oh well, I still look forward to your new piece. Best wishes!

I was going to say that was so sweet but I think bittersweet might be the better word considering Ashk's fate (say it ain't so). It's just going to break my heart when she Haldir and her kids and everyone else. I loved seeing them through their children's eyes,that was an excellent way to do it.

This series can't almost be over! Don't you know this is supposed to be the never ending series? :) What will I do without my stories? :(

I don't want these to end :( Can't we have her pop up say in the year 1500 and he finds her again? (reincarnation is such a fun thing in fiction.) Only to lose her once more due to the evil that is spreading accross the land (Saruman could have released the black plague and by the time Haldir and sons find and kill him it's too late for her), then find her again in 2004. They could meet up at a LOTR convention.

Aw! I just loved that even if it was sappy,it was the best!Just like their family, I just hope after she passes you write some sort of sequel where he searchs for her and in the end finds !
