i like the whole idea of Ed thinking of Winry in the silences, partially because neither of them are ever particularly silent in the other's presence, partially because it's so darn poetic. i like the last section especially...poor Ed.

Another reason for me to dislike the movie. haha. But really, that was amazing.

I loved that part. Shows how much Ed really did care for Winry, even if they can't be together. I can completely imagine the characters acting this out in my head. Not that I like Noah too much, but hey- this did her some justice. Anyway, wonderful EdxWinry piece; congrats for making it onto my fave authors list!

You usually can't get me to review fics, but oh god...

This made me cry, lierally. Especially the last prt. So heart-wrenching. You are truly an amazong author. i love how you just made the words flow. Your storytelling is incredible and alluring. I love the depth you created with Noa observing Ed's silences. I applaud you.

Poor Winry, poor Ed even. Sigh. Somehow the thought of him marrying someone else other than Winry is unsettling, but... he will always love Winry more, so I suppose that's a little comforting.

Your writing style is brilliant. I've heard of you from many people, and I can see why.

And, ah, well, at least it seems like Ed and Winry will get their happy ending in the manga. What annoys me about the Anime is that they make it seem like no one can have a happy ending. Granted, shit happens, like Nina and Hughes, but not everyone has to have a tearjerky ending or a bittersweet one. I don't know, am I the only one who believes in happy stuff? I'm not naive, but I'm far from pessimistic.

The message taht the Anime seemed to scream was that romance will get in the way of life. Like what Riza said at the chibi OVA - she doesn't need Roy love, she'll find her own happiness. I though "Romance does not equal happiness"?

I mean, certainly, love has it's downfalls, and it may just be the idealistic, hopeful girl in my that believes in love and sunshine and all that unicorn shit. I mean, sure, you could win every battle in life, but what would you have left to live for? I kinda see that in Ed's situation right now. He won, he saved the World, blahblahblah, got Al back. And certainly Al is worth living for but... Al's only half of what he lives for, Winry is the other half. And he lost that other half trying to keep focused on simply the battle.

Maybe that's why BONES pisses me off so much, haha.
