great start (it is a start right? more to come?) Strong emotions. It's typical Harm and Mac to let misunderstandings and miscommunication get in their way. Yet, the important thing is that they love eachother. Hope you continue this!

I have to say the second version here is much better. The description is more complete, the words evoke a clear visual, a deeper understanding of the emotions. I like the way the weather aligns with the mood and intensity of feelings. Write mor - I'll read! Glenna

Wonderful story and, imho, much improved to the original (even though that was already well done), but your writing style in this one sets the mood better (it feels more intimate, grasps the emotions better), and tying it to Clay's proposal made Harm's reaction more believable. Great job, please continue writing!
