this story was good, and your author's note was amusing.

i do like this story. Erik seems sincere and as other people have said, it does put forth hope for more to come between them. You defintely captured Erik as a "christine obsessed" yet thoughtful and not mean person which is the vibe i got from the media. I hope to read any of your other stories(it seems you are a HP fan telling by how many of those fics you have written). well do keep it up and perhaps try writing another POTO fanfiction you seem to be good at drama but hope. well anyway just a thought.cheers!

Hi... I really liked this Phantom fic. I'm not usually that happy w/ half way happy endings either, but I agree w/ you: the ending just fits. Well, I hope you write more fics; you're awesome at it!

I love this story . It's really realistic .
Of course he can't love Meg,even if she would deserve it . Erik will always love Christine,as she will always love him in another way .

“I cannot love you like you may love me,” he said. “But I certainly will try.”
I want to take this as a promise . I don't want to think that he uses Meg to comfort himself . I'm sure they will be happy together . Or at least "Once in a while" ;)

It's not an unhappy ending, it's a promise of more to come (not nescessairily in writen form). I like the story, and am in no way ** at the ending.
sometimes the "I can't love you"'s are sweeter than the "i love you with all my heart"'s, they'er more genuine.

o this is really good. I think the ending was perfect for the story, I don't think you could have a perfectly happy riding off into the sunset ending with the Phantom of the Opera it just doesn't fit. I've read the book and I haven't seen the musical but i want to and I haven't seen the movie either.

Hey this really belongs in the Phantom of the Opera section (under Books). It's under Books, yeah, but there's an organization thing called Worlds so that you can put this under Movie or Musical or whatever "World" you want it in. :-) It helps keeps the Musicals/Plays section cleared out and you'll get more reviews!
