I'm sorry if I cant give a more blow by blow review of your story. In the future, I promise I would. But right now, I just want to squeal like a fangirl for this gripping tale or should I say epic of yours. You're a very brilliant writer and your descriptions just blow me away. I liked the way how you worded the KK dialogue, it had a Victorian feel to it which I absolutely loved. This could just very well be a movie all on its own. I'm dying of curiosity for the next update, and I hope this story doesn't end in tragedy. =D

With just a few lines, you paint a picture of decadence and greed. Soujiro may well have been better off with a warrior's death. As for Okita, his feverish desire to return to Konan for Kaoru seems a fitting translation of TB.

I love that sense of complete determination that comes through for Misao. The original "True Grit."

How did I miss this? Actually, with Kenshin's playboy ways and focus on pursuing Tomoe so ardently, he may deserve whatever her wrath unleashes. She isn't exactly sympathetic but it is obvious she is smitten with more than just his wealth and position. Kenshin is just so set up for a fall as he is so used to getting his way in this story. I look forward to the next update!

These drabbles are lovely little pieces. Each of them match the story perfectly, and they give a lot of depth to the characters. I hope to see more, especially with a jealous Tomoe and Karou Kenshin interaction, just because I'm sure you will make it mighty fun to read. Or, I hope so.

OOh, there's gonna be an ugly scene when Tomoe finds out Kenshin has fallen for another. I can't wait!

interesting to have Yumi and Shishio as Kaoru's parents. It works well though.

I must admitt, I never thought I could be sympathetic to Shishio's side, no matter what the circumstances. Its even taken me this long to realize what you have done. Good work. Shishio is actually the good guy here and Hiko, well, I just cannot understand his reasoning.

This is very very good. It has real depth (or I could be just kidding myself but I like it).

I find it fascinating that Misao saw it all coming. It makes Kaoru's happy and unguarded moment all that much more poignant.

I really like this parallel running of drabbles in conjunction with the actual universe and main story. I really like how you expand on the little moments between each character, because we don't get much insight within the main story - and these drabbles enamour the characters even more.

By expanding on these interactions we are able to gain a more personal understanding of each character. If you had put these bits into the actual story it would have drawn away from the main storyline, which focuses primarily on Kenshin and Kaoru.

I really love how Misao is an semi-objective nexus between Kansan and Kutou.

Nice to see some of the bonding between Soujiro and Kaoru. Of course, I expect this will make Kaoru loathe Kenshin even more since he hurt Soujiro so.
