Ah, this is truely magnificent! You have such a way with words, causing the reader to want more and more. The characters are concise and their actions and thoughts well thought out and written. this, combined with the beautiful language creates a dark, and yet beautiful beginning to what I sincerly hope is a much longer fanfiction. Keep writing, if not for my sake, bu for the sake of the story!
