I quite enjoyed reading this. Such an interesting topic.
At first I was a little thrown off by Edward's thoughts allowing him to admit to himself that he was in love with Winry, but as I continued I can see very well how it could be canon. Traveling around in the other world separated from everyone must have given him a lot of time to think and do some "soul-searching'.

So I saw this fic back before I'd finished watching the original FMA and skipped over it in favor of managaverse fics so as not to spoil anything for myself. Then, once I'd finished watching the anime, I remembered it and decided I would go read it now that I was in a position to. Unfortunately, I couldn't find it. Because of all the searching I did just to satisfy my curiosity, it ended up a little bit more hyped up in my brain than it probably needed to be. Then I stumbled across it by chance, which was cool.

I liked it. I was rather baffled by that whole situation myself. Admittedly, there's not a whole lot of fodder for Edwin in the original, but I really couldn't see anything for Rose either. I basically just decided that Dante was off her rocker and left it at that. I like that you thought about it a little more. :]

I also thought it was odd that Dante thought Ed loved job on explaining why she thought is more perceptive.I know it's 2011 but i'll review anyway.

Yeah, like I don't get why she used Rose because he loves WINRY NOT ROSE! I totally get your point and I love your story. GOOD JOB! NO AMAZING JOB!

Beautiful Piece, I totally agree with you on Dante Point. (Although I dislike the first anime with a passion...) you do have good points.

As for Envy thing, I agree he had it the first try, He knew what type of girl ed might be interested for instead of looks. Makes him seem less...crazy. XD

Nice, this is well-written.

You make a very good point here. Ed's view on beauty is just so...Ed-like. I mean, the way he broke things down scientifically and decided that looks aren't as important as that "missing element" that can't be explained.

I also wondered why Dante thought Ed was in love with Rose. Honestly, that pairing has never made any sense to me. Winry's the one that Ed trusts enough to open up to.

Anyway, great story!

I really think Envy was more perceptive about those sorts of things, I mean, he sure knew what forms to use against them and when. It was really good, and realistic.

Odd to give envy credit being the evil thing but it is true in the anime. Dante is such a fool.
