I really like a lot of your phrases in this story - they're very good. I personally thought Ino and Shikamaru were very in-character.

The one thing I didn't like was the song, but that's because I have a weird affinity against songfics - most are quite bad. I know this wasn't one in the strictest sense, and that's why I still like it quite a bit.
