Great job! It's hard to believe anyone as awful as Patrick can exist. I was glad to hear that he had died. I thought all of your details about childbirth, a 5 year old's birthday party, the love of the Granger family, the ugliness of Patrick's abuse, and finally, the funeral for Fiona, were very well done.
This is a well written story, full of heart-warming and heart wrenching drama. Keep writing!
