Oh dear, it's been over a year since your last update. I fear my favorite fanfic author really has stopped this time. I started reading CMC round about chapter 8, and I've eagerly awaited updates ever since. It's been... 8 years since then and I never read fanfiction anymore, but I still get excited when I see a new chapter for one of your fics. Your world and characters are very real.

Anyway, fanfiction is something that people don't do forever, so I'm not going to nag you to keep going. I wanted you to know, though, (or at least hear it again) that your work has been greatly appreciated. Thanks particularly for going on these last few years- your writing has really matured, and with the Brand arc we get at least a sketch of what happens to the characters. Your writing is wonderful, and it was a privilege to follow your characters through their adventures.

I have been a lurking follower for about three years now. I love your stories on the Dol Amroth line and more so love Hethlin. But Brand has a very special place in my heart for his situation with Andrahar who I believe may be the best written character I've ever encountered. I say again, I am in love with your stories. Please never stop!

I've reread this story for like the tenth time, and it's still good! I hesitate to say it is my favorite out of everything you've written, but only because I've loved all of your stories. I know it has been awhile since you've updated this one, but I do hope you come back to it soon :)

I love this story. Actually, I love the whole Brand story arch. I like hearing about the court of Gondor and someone not familiar with it trying to work his way through it. I also like seeing Brand's interaction with Faramir, and I would love to see more especially if Faramir gets more credit for all he had/has sacrificed for those in his life to be happy. Keep up the great work and please update soon.

I hadn't read that one, and I did now. I liked finding Hethlin again, I enjoyed the fact of Boromir having a son and generally I found it a really interesting story, though I have a couple of subjective remarks to make:
a. In Tolkien's calendar I've noticed that in the year 3920 the Captains of the West had moved against Rhun, in order to stabilize the Eastern areas. So, if you stick to that plan, it doesn't make sence to launch another war so soon. Please, don't hesitate to tell me if I am wrong.
b. In September 3921, the Ringbearers left Middle Earth. Arwen was supposed to be there, so I guess that the Royal Family of Minas Tirith should be up in the Grey Havens by that time.
c. I think Eldarion was born in 3920. So Aragorn should have at least one child by the time you are referring to.
d. Where are my favorite twin- elves?
But as I told you before, I find your stories exciting and I really enjoy them. Please update soon.

Oh look! It's my favorite fic's bi-annual update!

I really do love this fic, especially the character development, but I think the infrequent updates hurt the reader's flow. People have a tendency to stop following something if it has been too long. I usually have to go back and re-read some stuff to remember it. *Insert shameless begging here*

I don't know how to be as direct and any more polite, so I'll just leave it at that, and read what I can get.

Aragorn in disguise is one of my favourite LOTR fanfic things, so thanks for that! I do like Brand too - he's an engaging character.

How typical of Aragorn to take some time off the throne and go practice archery and imbibe at a tavern while wearing old clothes. I loved Andra's protectiveness - 'dog, what dog' - and Brand's commonsense and honorable approach to the negotiations with the lands responsible for his kidnapping and the enslavement of the missing children.

What a lovely chapter - a boy and a girl and assorted dogs and puppies! The idea of there being a King's Houndmaster throughout all the years that there was no King in Gondor is very true to Tolkien; and Lalven seems to have done a very good job. And Brand gets a dog of his own, hooray! Excellent descriptions of the dogs and the interaction of Brand and Tathar and her family.

Oh another update! what a good day! I so love your stories, with all these characters so well portrayed , so "fouillés", as we say in french.
Please can you tell me if you think about updating Ultimatums and KinStrife, those two are particularly fabulous!

It's nice to see this story being updated again. You write well, and your characters are all well-developed and interesting. I look forward to seeing how Brand develops as a person, and how his relationships with others grow. Obviously the relationship with Andrahar is a focus, but I also enjoy seeing him interact with Aragorn and Faramir.

It's wonderful to see you posting again after so long! I first read your stories when you were about six chapters into 'Captain' and have been checking for updates ever since. I hope this is one of many quick updates...
