jenskott 2007-01-09 ch 11,	abuseNick is such a cheerful guy, isn't he? Oh, well. He's always trying making his best despite the headaches the X-Men give him. When Logan and he talk, onlookers usually wonder who will shoot first. Magneto, ruler of Genosha. It always bothered me in the comics. Why would UN hand over one nation to a world-famous terrorist? At least here they haven't given him the rule. Erik will have to convince them his authority like head-of-state is letigimate. As long as he doesn't return to his old vices, I hope he's succesful. Now it's come the time for the X-Men coming back. Still, Mystique had a nice detail with Rogue. I'm not shocked Kurt was more accepting. He's most optimistic and most forgiving than his sister. And meanwhile, Jean and Maddie's bond has strengthened. A good end to a story. I hope seeing soon your next story. :)
Mark C 2007-01-08 ch 11,	abuseIt was nice to see Fury overlook the aftermath of the battle. The surprising thing was that Magneto would be in charge of Genosha. I wonder where I've heard that before? I understand why Fury wouldn't be too happy with that but it does appear that Magneto has changed. Plus, if Magneto does step out of line, the X-Men will be there to stop him. He will definitely have a lot of work cut out for him but it seems that Magneto and his followers are up to the task. With the sisters finally reunited, things can only get better. The ending was great and wrapped everything up nicely. I can see a sequel come out of this sometime down the road and I would look forward to that. An excellent job with this story.
band20 2007-01-07 ch 11,	abusehey man, this was definitely an interesting story. I got to admit that the ending was kind of unusual but overall this was a good fic. I'm kind of curious to know what would happen to Genosha now that Magneto is its defacto ruler. I'm also curious about how unfriendly Fury seemed, but considering the situation its very understandable. This was a decent fic and it was definitely interesting. I look forward to seeing what your next fic is, take it easy.

I'm glad Hodge's mad plan was discovered and Magneto saw the error of his ways and even allowed international peacekeepers onto Genoshan soil ... if he wants to rebuild it he's goiing to need all the help he can get. And of course I loved that Mystique tried to reconnect with her family. Anyway GREAT story, Slick! :)

elven-cat2 2007-01-07 ch 11,	abuseWonderful ending to this storyline you came up with. I really liked that they left Magneto in charge of Genosha. Yet as Fury said, the whole environment has changed. Even though the entire "Friends of Humanity" plot did not happen. Enough damage was done to the Mutants reputation. Now many "normal humans" will continue to see "all" mutants as a threat, not just the "bad ones". If anything this as an eery parallel to today's news blurbs...Hopefully you will revisit this world to see what challenges and plots "Magnus Rex" faces as he rebuilds a nation state. And also where the hunt for the true perpetrators of misery, the "friends of humanity" and whatever "nations" were behind them and the insidious plot revealed in your story. I also enjoyed the dialogue with Remy and Rogue, having Magneto offer her and Scott a "potential help" was definetely something tempting for them. But having Kurt enjoy his "big brother" moment was so nice "Otherwise ve are going to have a serious talk, mien friend.”...:) Best of all, finally Madelyn has a "happy ending" somewhere in the Marvel continuom. Bravo for doing that in such an entertaining way! This was a very entertaining story and you used some creative points from the comics and cartoon as well, which I enjoyed. I will be looking forward to your next story!

jenskott 2007-01-04 ch 10,	abuse"this is not a standard world domination plot" Hah! This sentence made my day! :) I don't know what Rogue is protesting about. Working with a limit time is what the X-Men do best. I guess it helps them to get focused. And I'm not even mentioning the "allies reluctanct to aid them" part. :) Cyclops mustering and encouraging their warriors to attack, and they backing him all the way. Short scene, but it rocked. Jean-alike redheads talking about feeling power isn't a good thing on my book. I've found a mistake here: "she said with a sinister grinned...". I think you mean "sinister grin". Ouch. They'll be feeling that migraine during several days. But at least Jean could show off. That's our girl! ^_^ So Hodge was planning being a martyr? That is very twisted, but he's a very twisted man. I think the FOH was using him the whole time, right like he tried to use the X-Men and Magneto -and Magneto in turn tried to use Maddie-, but he can't realize. Well, this has been a Hell of a chapter :). Time for closing the story is coming near :(.
