I like your characterization of Combeferre, though from my experience he has more emotion than that. And Enjolras was characterized really well, heartless statue person thing. What I really like about this story is that it sounds a lot like Victor Hugo, especially at the end with Enjolras' calloused comment and Combeferre's cool response. e-mail me. Ooh, I love your characterizations. I could very nearly see this being a scene that took place in the Book. Very lovely, and yes, dark.

I like it and it is dark like you say. The only problem I have is with the whole 'cousin' concept. Other than that it's great and I love the last 2 lines.
