I really loved this story. It was sweet and really realistic. I love that you kept Remus in character with his doubts ("I'm too old," etc.) unlike some stories that are just like, "OMG! I love you too!" I'm really looking foward to reading more from you. DFTBA! (but obviously you don't) =)

I can't believe this only has 20-odd reviews. It was amazing. When I clicked on it, only your "reputation" kept me from saying "EWW, Ron and Remus!" Yet it turned out to be a believable, romantic, practically canon love story.

This is an amazing fic! I usually don't read inter-generational fics because they generally seem unrealistic and kind of pedophile-y, but the way you characterized Ron and Remus eliminated those factors. You presented Ron as a confident, mature adult, and Remus kind of took the role of the more nervous and inexperienced. I think this really levelled out the difference in their ages. I also loved the kids- who couldn't? Aaron and Greg were adorable and Carolyn was really sweet. I will admit that at first I didn't really like her; she seemed like one of those stereotypical characters that some authors create, like a depressed Mary-Sue. But when she revealed what she had been writing and started crying she seemed like the little kid she was supposed to be. I also appreciated your humor, I actually laughed out loud at several parts (which I don't usually do). And I thought it was a cute touch that Ron included his whole family in his quest to get Remus. In conclusion, awesome job! This was a truly enjoyable fic.

So i have maybe read your story 2-3 times now, and i have to say out of all the stories i have ever read on this site, this one is maybe one of my favorites. wonderfully done! well written with a wonderful storyline! i am quite impressed, and very much enjoyed your unusual pairing. Well done!

Oh my, I daresay I've fallin in love. XD Now I simply scrave unusual pairings (Minerva and Mrs. Norris!? wtfyes!) So of course when I spotted this I was all: omg!mustreadLIEK,NOW!!1!lolz And I was really suprised at what I found. Unfourtunately. being a hoarder of strange pairings and ships makes for stumbling across some of the worst fanfiction pancakes imaginable. You see, nobody's IC, everything's over-detailed and under-dialouged and with a simply tangled mess of a plot, Or, on the flip side, their shadows, outlines of a fanfiction, just bits and peices that never come together or make any sense. Dialouge is robotic and mandatory for dragging the long-dead plot along and confessing undying love from one character to the other. I'm happy to say that your fanfiction is one of the one's that can be found along the edge, set away in a small little pocket of individuality and uniqueness. You write these characters so well it makes your readers feel like they were right there, idly observing everything from their imaginations, adding in our own details where you didn't describe them, all together personalizing the story into something each reader can see in their own way. Keep up the awesome writing, and I'll be sure to hunt your fics down and compare them to pancakes. XD Much love, CPOP

Thank you so much for this wonderful one-shot! Ron & Remus, what a wonderful pairing! And this entire story was so well-written. I absolutely adored it. You had me smiling and teary-eyed all at once. Quite an accomplishment, I should say. When Remus isspeaking to Carolyn about losing someone you love.. I had tears streaming down my cheeks. I lost my grandmother seven years ago, when I was thirteen, and I've often feared that I'm forgetting her. Remus was speaking to Carolyn, but he was also speaking to me. In the back of my mind, I've told myself those same words thousands of times, but you managed, through Remus, to drive them home.

This was very poignant, and I love how Remus and Roncame together. The scene where Ron tells Remus that he wants him to stay was incredibly cute. Thank you for sharing your talents with us readers.
