Frankiegirl2020 11/13/07 . chapter 1Well...Linear didn't talk a lot-besides after part of the game she talks so it's matched how much she talks usually...and...about the Mag being taller part...he got older that's it-older means taller. Great story! |
anit0523 10/2/07 . chapter 1XD lol :) That was so sweet. But what was chain doing during that who "speech" at the end when they were hugging and stuff. Did she just take off or what? |
Martin III 2/17/07 . chapter 1I'm not sure what you mean by Linear talking more than usual. In "World of the Sacred Device" she doesn't talk at all, and in "Far Off Promise" she talks just as much as she does in this story. I'm under the impression that her manifestation in Evolutia form at the end of "Sacred Device" ended her muteness, so if this story takes place before that, Linear REALLY shouldn't be talking at all. If it takes place after, then there's no problem here whatsoever! This is quite well-written, except for the lapses into Mag's perspective; the whole story should be written from Linear's point-of-view. Mag's a pretty simple character, so it's not hard to guess what he's thinking! Aside from that, good descriptions, and very nicely paced. The problem is that the story doesn't fit the characters well in my opinion. Linear isn't nearly as emotional as this in the games. In particular, she NEVER cries. Ever. If you check out Evolution 2, she goes through even sadder experiences there, yet narry a drop falls from her eyes. I can't buy it when she bursts out the water works here. Also, while Mag is definitely a nice guy, I've never seen him as sensitive. In the games he tends to be clueless about emotions; in this story he's a bit too suave and sympathetic with Linear. Nice writing, but too out-of-touch with the characters to hit me. Thanks for your hard work, though; we definitely can use fanfics for this underappreciated series. |
